The Bananas
The young American botanist Dr. Mer sighed in despair: "No one appreciates my work." He stood in front of his hut (Cabana) in Tahiti and looked over a test field where his creation, the Bananas, was growing. Actually a brilliant idea, it required no palm trees; the Bananas was a low, herbaceous plant, just like the pineapple. It had a peel that could be removed, just like a banana. This made it incredibly easy to use. The Bananas smelled great, like banana and maybe also like pineapple; Dr. Mer wasn't sure. Dr. Mer had crossbred it with aloe vera, so that skin care products could be made from the juice in the leaves. Unfortunately, the Bananas didn't taste very good, and no one wanted to eat it, not even Dr. Mer.
Then Dr. Mer saw a car driving up the narrow path to the plantation. Strangers. Maybe they had read his article in American Botanist. Hope flickered in his eyes. A beautiful woman in expensive designer clothes got out of the car. Dr. Mer thought he had seen her on the cover of Vogue magazine before. No, he didn't read Vogue. But he looked at the covers of all the magazines in the store. Dr. Mer cleared his throat and greeted the woman: "Good day. I am Dr. Mer, Jam Mer."
It turned out that the woman represented the company Bath & Body Works. She bought the entire field, the licensing rights, and the hut. Dr. Mer hired her as the production manager, and finally, he could afford a house in the city. The banana plants were harvested and completely processed along with the leaves. Then coconut water was added, and Bath & Body Works sold the resulting product for a few years as Coco Cabana.
Thank you, Anessa, for adding Coco Cabana to the Parfumo database.
Coco Cabana smells fruity-gourmand-green and also a bit synthetic like Piña colada. At least that's what family tester M claims. I've never had Piña colada. To me, it smells like coconut and banana. If the banana is a pineapple, it must be a Bananas. With its slight green note, Coco Cabana is not too sweet. I also always claim that curvy women can wear sweet scents, and I mean myself. Since it is a body spray, it doesn't last particularly long. After about 3 hours, the Caribbean magic is over. It is more suited for women and for the warmer half of the year.
By the way, Dr. Mer is not the inventor of the pineapple-strawberry (Agave Papaya Sunset).
