Resin bonanza
Spicy, resinous, carnal patchouli with a hint of dark chocolate. Not really “edible”, but so well balanced! Dark and earthy, with a good animalic dose. Wood soaked in booze. Surprisingly smooth and almost creamy. A subtle waxy floral touch and some dark greenness. A favourite from the brand. If Herbes is the equivalent of a sunrise, Tesoro of the afternoon scorching sun, the Terram reflects a coppery sunset.

Patchouli Chocolate
This is such a great chocolaty scent! Don't know what exactly produces this effect. I guess it could be the combination of patchouli, vetiver and ambery components, but this is just so perfect! Aromatic, deep, woody and most of all - chocolaty! However, it's not a simple edible chocolate, but a proper perfume! Love it!

mesmerizing addictive Fall treat
I crazily felt for this scent after testing all the (gorgeous) discovery kit of the brand received at Pitti Fragranze.
Not to say that the whole collection is fantastic imho, but I needed to immediately buy Terram (at first , Iwas doubting between Terram and isleta but Terram felt just great for the late days of september)
Probably my fav brand at the show in Florence, DSOL creates in this perfume a hypnotic blend that is sensually balsamic, deliciously chocolatey and wonderfully addictive. It makes you want to bite yourself. definitively, it's sexy.
I smell a delightful benzoin, a fantastic patchouly and probably the prettiest vetiver I know.
Golden, conforting, truly memorable. great longevity and embracing sillage.
I could not be more satisfy of my purchase. Plus the packaging feels curated and perfect for a gift
360º lovely

In the Dark Forest of Chocolate Berries
Regarding the (moderately likable) brand D:SOL MMXVI and its (very likable) perfumer Marie Le Fèbvre, I have already shared enough on the occasion of the two recently commented other fragrances from the mini-series, 'Herbes' and 'Tesoro'.

Now there's just this one left: Terram. First of all, thanks to Knopfnase, not only for bringing the brand to my attention but also for sending me a sample of Terram (after the original sample I ordered from the company somehow escaped; I’m curious to see where it will be found in ten years).

For me, Terram is stretched like a triangle: There’s a (coming from a very modern, elegant, completely de-hippified patchouli) bittersweet chocolate side, then a really, really well-executed forest-fresh resinous fir balsam side that really clears the nose beautifully, and thirdly, a very full-bodied, vividly colored pole that probably comes from the flowers and galbanum, but to me, it impresses more as dark berry-fruity.

That is the core, and as is usual with Marie Le Fèbvre, it is wonderfully finely composed: Friendly and cheerful, life-affirming and vital.

There are also other notes playing, some of which come into play occasionally (generally, Terram is rather linear): A peppery sharpness that only becomes noticeable to me after about an hour, damp woods, and dark honey, and towards the end, something like dried fruit.

As a result, the fragrance feels a bit too gourmand for me, although it is certainly not 'intended' that way. Therefore, among the three, 'Herbes' remains my favorite. However, anyone who likes dark forest scents and patchouli should take this one seriously as a test candidate: the fragrance is beautiful!

I recognize a somewhat distant but still clear kinship to Elite by Floris; there too, the original symbiosis of strong patchouli with fresh forest fir balsam. The Brit, however, is brighter due to the generous addition of citrus notes, which I personally prefer.

faded summer
The airy summer images of magnificent blossoms, ripe fruits, and grasses swaying gently in the wind beneath shade-giving trees are almost a thing of the past: Autumn approaches on soft soles.

It peeks cautiously around the corner, but its scent personality is already more earth than light.
Earth, into which the blooming, greening, and being slowly withdraws, while a faint hint of herbal rock rose in its very special way and late magnolia blossoms can still be sensed. Have they perhaps mistaken the season?
Be that as it may! For now, spicy scent components dominate, herbs, needle-like and warm-silky cedarwoods, and rich dark, slightly damp patchouli and vetiver accents, heavy and somewhat animalistically dirty, quietly reminiscent of the impending decay: Everything is transient!
Perhaps that is why a nearly tender, resinous smoke lies over my skin at times, enveloping me and safeguarding the beautiful memories.
Here, a whisper emerges, a promise: “Everything will return! Just wait!”

“Terram” by D:SOL MMXVI (a very interesting brand!) is a truly special fragrance:
It develops warm and quietly yet contains so much of the magic of nature and the cycle of the seasons!
It is fascinating what unfolds over the course of its relatively long-lasting presence, what scent harmony reveals itself: The earth breathes on the skin!

I approached the testing naively: Curious as always.
Now I listen quietly, continually surprised by the scent tones, the memories and stories they tell me.
I surely won’t forget “Terram” anytime soon.

Warm woods, earthy and chocolaty patchouli, resinous benzoin, magnolia. The drydown is aromatic, green and musky, slightly sweet and smoky.

Earthy patchouli vetiver that has this chocolate-like vibe. What makes Terram so special is that magnolia note at the back. To die for.

It's pleasantly different. Galbanum, incense, and cedar are oddly creamy and sweetened. It feels like a painting by Gerhard Richter.

The interplay of resinous-spicy, herbaceous, and woody notes with delicate aspects is unconventional, but very successful.
