Citrus plus White Woody Musk (not white flowers)
BBW WHITE CITRUS is a fine hot weather scent featuring, as advertised, whiteness and citrus.
I very much appreciate the cool, refreshing effect of this non-acidic citrus edt but without all of the alcohol that comes in the body sprays. WHITE CITRUS dries down pretty nicely as well, with a touch of very clean (white!) woody musk. The light floral notes serve as garnishes only--this is *not* a BWF (big white floral) fragrance.
WHITE CITRUS is probably my favorite from the current BBW line-up, as I tend to steer clear of overly fruity, sweet scents (such as ORANGE SAPPHIRE, which was a real disappointment). I also have the Fragrant Waters special edition of WHITE CITRUS, which was issued in a humongous glass bottle (10oz!) with a few tweaks to the composition but with much less alcohol than the body spray (Key word: Fragrant WATERS). It's really too bad that the Fragrant Waters line was discontinued, as they are perfect for summertime liberal spraying, especially in a scent as nice as this one!
Obviously, WHITE CITRUS is not haute parfumerie, but it's a great value nonetheless and works especially well in weather when fragrance is apt to evaporate quickly, creating a quasi-super sillage even out of some perfumes which stay close to the skin in the cold. When the thermostat exceeds 90F, anything much heavier than this can be unpleasant--for both the wearer and those nearby...
