Citrus-fruity with orange blossom & marshmallows
Another Bond that has been somewhat forgotten: Liberty Island from the Beaches Collection. A fragrance that I bought some time ago and of course it still needs a review. This one was only enough for 50ml, which is of course absolutely sufficient if you don't wear it every day. It is not unsuitable for everyday wear, but it is not always suitable due to its sweetness. Liberty Island is a fragrance that has not received too much attention and love. Overall, the brand seems to be rather unpopular here. However, the Bonds do quite well in the "wild". Like all Bonds, this Liberty Island has a blatantly high RRP, but you can get this fragrance at a fair price.
Packaging is quite good for Bond. Great box and I like the bottles with their typical charm. The bottle with the little stars is also really pretty. This fragrance got its name from the small uninhabited island in New York. Almost all Bonds are named after streets and other places in New York. This fragrance is from the Beaches Collection, which already contains quite summery and fresh scents.
Even if this rating is rather moderate by niche standards, I really like this fragrance. It is a fresh and fruity fragrance with citrus, sweetness, creamy orange blossom and clean musk. The start is really very pleasantly juicy with great juicy mandarin and tart, fruity blackcurrant. This blackcurrant is a great contrast to this fruity note and also to the sweetness. There is also a slightly tart citrus note that spreads a lot of freshness. This top note smells very delicious to me, like fruity cookies in the direction of Jaffa cookies. A creamy, clean orange blossom is quickly added, which keeps this fragrance extremely soft. It is supported by subtle jasmine, which is, however, subordinate to the orange blossom. The musk note is extremely soft, almost like Musk Therapy. Marshmallow is also present extremely early on. This note also provides that delicious vibe if you like sweets. This fragrance doesn't have much progression, as the base notes come in early on. However, the fragrance naturally becomes softer and creamier once the top notes have disappeared. Overall, I find this fragrance very rounded and quite unique, especially if you wear it as a man. Due to the sweetness and creamy orange blossom, you should not buy this fragrance blindly as a man and have a preference for this direction.
Performance is significantly better than rated here. The first few hours you have this fragrance permanently in your nose, also the durability is in the double-digit range. Of course, this fragrance becomes a little closer to the skin after about 5-6 hours.
Overall, a great summery fragrance that puts you in a good mood. This fragrance is also great to wear in mild temperatures. I like this fruity-juicy-citrusy-slightly sour DNA with this creamy-clean sweetness.
