A Dignified Homage to New Orleans
New Orleans the fragrance is a fantastic creation and draws upon many parallels that coincide directly with the great city it has been inspired by. This is definetly another HIT for the house of Bond No.9 and is a fragrance which I have bought for the 3rd time now. Its wonderful.

However though with New Orleans, its a situation where You have to love the notes in the fragrance in order to appreciate the intoxicating and strong juice that sits inside the magnificent black bottle. The fragrance in my opinion is simply a very wearable gourmand scent, with no particular gender in sight. With its gorgeous Cinnamon and Vanilla combination complemented by Cassis and a heavy dose of Patchouli, New Orleans sets itself up to be a scent which is perfect for night time. I wouldn't wear this during the day, purely because of the fact that for me this fragrance conjures up images of darkness and it has a strong party vibe to it.

The Tuberose in this fragrance seems to be the unspoken "star" it is very subtle, just like Tuberose should be (I dont like to much of it) and it seems to create a lovely foundation for the fragrance to build itself upon. What this fragrance lacks is staying power. You will get a good 7-8 hours of this, but when you think of New Orleans and how the parties here can go all night right through to the early hours of the morning, i sort of find myself wishing that the fragrance would do the same thing.

Overall though, this is definetly worth a sniff- even if you don't intend on purchasing this fragrance you just have to try it and let its party atmosphere take hold of you.
