For me, it should rain red roses!
More out of a whim, I tested this fragrance in the last few days, and the more I tested it, the greater my astonishment at this old Borsari rose scent became.
Vintage rose fragrances often have a somewhat outdated and old-fashioned quality. They truly smell "vintage".
I had only superficially sniffed my Acqua di Rosa Thea, so to speak, just a bottle test. But in order to form a real opinion, I need to test a fragrance extensively, and so it happened that this one was up next.
The top note - I admit - is indeed very "vintage"-heavy. But the longer the Rosa Thea was on my skin and could unfold, the more beautiful this rose became. After about an hour, it smells so real and natural of a very specific garden rose that I could almost believe I was standing in a rose garden. The rose is a deep red and has velvety petals. Despite its beauty, which also has some quite natural flaws, it has not forgotten how to scent.
This rose is surprisingly green and only very slightly sweet, but so beautifully floral and real! You can even smell the earth on which this rose grows.
I will never again judge a rose too hastily as long as I am just sniffing the bottle.
