A Spring-like Whiff
My wrist smells as if the first breath of spring has brushed by.
Soft, floral, powdery.
This is how the fragrance began right after spraying, and I was very curious about this moment, after I somehow found my way to Borsari 1870 through twists and connections here on Parfumo.
Violetta Sensation d'Infini, without a fragrance pyramid but described as "green-powdery," a subtly beautiful bottle, and an unbeatable price - but unfortunately, Borsari 1870 is no longer in production.
Even with a fragrance pyramid, I am not skilled enough to pick out individual components unless they are very prominent or belong to my favorite fragrance directions and are familiar to me.
What undoubtedly settles on the skin here are violets, warm and lovely, and softly floral. The scent is certainly rounded off with other flowers that I cannot define, possibly iris is among them. I am surprised that after hours, not much has changed in the fragrance; top, base, and heart notes seem to have merged together.
The scent becomes even warmer and more powdery and is a charmer. It is subtle and not overpowering, but it is also very floral.
Unfortunately, I completely miss the "green," which is what initially made me so curious about it. I perceive it as very powdery and creamy; I almost feel like I have applied lotion. On my wrist, it only fades after 5 hours, but it is still noticeable.
A truly beautiful fragrance, yet overall it is too floral for me and not the scent I will wear.
My image of this fragrance is a woman in her late 20s, sitting in a café in Parma, her basket bag resting on the chair next to her. She is wearing a simple silk blouse with rolled-up sleeves, long hair loosely pinned up, and pastel-colored nail polish. She enjoys her milk coffee and delights in this mild spring day, living carefree in it....
