			Cool Breeze

Today it was already quite summery, and I felt that this scent was still far too cold for it. It is more of a diffuse breeze than a perfume. So light, fresh, and clear that I can easily imagine it at sweltering 40 degrees.
The opening is dominated by anise. Actually a note I dislike, but here it doesn’t smell like Ouzo and also not like synthetic mainstream freshness. It is a sweet yet dry and almost mineral anise note. Incredibly bright and clear, only perceived as a diffuse coolness in the extremely subtle projection, with a fresh sweetness on the skin.
As it develops, this modern and airy beginning transforms, and Mirra e Anice Stellato becomes more recognizable, almost classic. A green-grassy vetiver and slightly resinous-smoky myrrh come through quite prominently, and suddenly everything reminds me of a very bright, diffuse, and soft Eau Sauvage perfume. Of course, Mirra e Anice Stellato remains distinct, but I suspect it is the combination of these fragrance notes that creates a very similar vibe for me. However, the Dior feels denser, more balsamic, and sweeter. I really like the Dior, but I find the dry and bright expression of the Borsari rather limiting.
Despite the somewhat more classic base, the scent always remains just a hint of perfume. Good for humid climates over 40 degrees, or when you don’t want to smell perfumed (except on the skin) or want to spread a subconscious, diffuse aura.
Mirra e Anice Stellato is great and has shown me that I don’t generally hate anise. However, in the base, it seems to flatten out a bit for my taste.
