Faithful to Formula Cologne
Citrus at the beginning with touch of rum. This lasts 1 hour. In the heart there ara a blended of amber floral that it is the principal charactheristics of the scents. Ideal to forma event with moderate hot, It is not a summer scent. Better autumn. The performance it's better than original 5 or six hors with sillage medium. it is not amazing, if you don't want draw attention an be elegant and male home it is a nice election.

Great Refreshment of a Beautiful Fragrance
Even though Bvlgari doesn't come off too well here: One of my favorite brands. So far, I have never tested one from this house that I didn't like. My favorite is of course the Aqva line, but the Bvlgari Man line is also an extremely great series. I first got the original Man and then the father of the sub-line Man in Black. Due to its great success, there are several flankers of this sub-line. So far, I have only tested this Cologne, which I liked very much and finally purchased a few days ago. It's not that easy to find online, as it is often sold out or possibly discontinued. Luckily, I found a bottle for 50 Euro/100ml.
Before we get to this flanker, a few words about Man in Black: It is a fragrance that is a valuable addition to the collection. Similar to this flanker, it has a strong boozy rum note and is very masculine yet sensual with soft nuances. A great fragrance for the evening on cooler days.

Now to the Black Cologne: This is clearly a refreshment without too many changes like many other well-known summer/sport/cologne/fresh/aqua flankers. The DNA of the original is always present, and the scent is very strongly based on it. I like such refreshers of heavier fragrances because they provide a unique scent for warmer days. Here, Alberto Morillas has launched a great lighter version. Perfect for mild and warm days, but also for people who enjoy wearing fresher scents. When thinking of Cologne, one usually imagines very light fresh-citrusy fragrances. This is not the case here. Nevertheless, it is pleasant to wear at temperatures up to about 25 degrees. Thanks to the boozy note, it is also very good for summer evenings or nights.
As a brief scent description, one can say that it offers boozy rum refreshed with citrus and slightly floral notes. As mentioned: Very close to the original, but here softer. This chosen freshness fits perfectly with the Man in Black DNA. While the original comes off very masculine, this creation is noticeably softer and clashes much less. Nevertheless, it convinces with a lot of uniqueness. The dry-down is also very good with plenty of sandalwood. There is also a pleasant, not too sticky sweetness present. Overall, for me, a very rounded and pleasant composition.
Performance is similar to the original: Not Champions League but convincing, especially for a Cologne concept. It definitely lasts for several hours and has good sillage.

For me, the best so far in the Man line. Especially since it can be used versatile thanks to the freshness. Also suitable for everyday wear despite the rum note. If you like the original, you should definitely test this one as well. A great choice, especially for summer evenings.

Drinking rum and Coca Cola...
... reminds me of the Andrew Sisters when tasting Black Cologne.

The opening really reminds me of a rum and cola with a slice of lemon floating in it.
Sweet, fizzy - slightly alcoholic.

Then a diligent tuberose steps in, cooled by clear neroli.
So far - so good.
But now a medically sharp note flashes up that I can't quite place.
It has something clean - but also sterile.
Fortunately, the sandalwood soon dampens this "clinical" impression.

The cover states: A fragrance like a burning hot water.
I cannot confirm this, as the scent feels rather cool and distant to me.

Moreover, it is quite substantial for a cologne. I expected more transparency.
Nevertheless, it is more clear than "black".

The longevity is good - but the sillage is too strong for the office.
More of an evening scent - for large spaces with room to breathe.

For me, definitely an individual men's fragrance.

The successor to Magnetism for Men?
Answer: Partly, rather no. A kind of light version of the aforementioned discontinued & greatly missed milestone. Its louder successor is more Rojas Enigma Pour Homme. Nevertheless, the new "Black Cologne" from Bvlgari somewhat reminds me of those glorious times with its rum-cola vibe. In the end, however, the new black cologne is distinct & different enough to find new fans & may even be the best of this bottle series for men. Although it doesn't really seem to be an official flanker, but rather that they simply liked the bottle shape. Oh yes, I almost overlooked the Man before the Black Cologne. In my opinion, it has not much in common with its brothers anymore.

Black Cologne is not a truly dark cologne, rather sleek, fresh-sweet & very youthful, yet without completely abandoning the noble claim of its brand at the door. To understand the undertone of Black Cologne & almost all other men’s fragrances from Bulgari, I usually describe the Bvlgari DNA like this: the finest marble meets subtly classic cologne & purest gemstones. Warmth, hardness, freshness & shine united. An underrated brand, especially Man Extreme I always like a lot. Also in Man BC, these trademarks are present, however, combined with rum-cola. Not a strong one, but a diluted & very tame, light, modern version of the drink. One could call it tonic-cola-rum. Additionally, an unusually masculine tuberose spreads warmth & grip underneath, which reminds me again of warm sand, sun-drenched marble & rocks by the Mediterranean. Just from the feeling. Somewhere between casual & going-out scent, it is a simple yet very pleasing & special fragrance that cannot be compared to any new release. It stands out subtly & is a must-test for fans of the series!

Bottle: yeah, a prime example of the brand's sense of beauty.
Sillage: subtle & physical
Longevity: 4 hours could be improved.

Conclusion: not a classic "cologne", not black & little DNA of the other Bulgari Men to be found - and yet I really like Black Cologne with its sexy & easily wearable style mix of fresh rum & diluted cola most of the time!

The EdT that would rather be a Cologne
One could interpret this fragrance that way, because despite the name Bvlgari Man Black Cologne, it is officially an Eau de Toilette. Why do they do that? Possibly to suggest more freshness or sprightliness.

In the end, you get a Bvlgari that, although a bit muddled at first, clumsily stumbles along with citrus and spicy nuances, but becomes more orderly and much more refined as it develops, albeit shining a few levels quieter. What you can sniff out are unobtrusive lemons and a mix of slightly rum-soaked woods and a hint of tuberose.

Fresh? Yes, but with a slight tendency towards warmer realms, making it more ideal for autumn than for summer or spring. Only those who rely on more intense sillage and longevity will likely be surprised. It wouldn’t be a surprise with an actual Cologne. After all, one must give credit that you’re not being misled into expecting something stronger.

However, I find that Bvlgari Man Black Cologne wants too much at once (fresh, exotic, spicy, warm), but doesn’t really deliver anything convincingly.

it is no a fresh scent per se. Begin fresh and floral and it turned resinous and caramel, without losing a fresh touch. Good for autumn.

Its actually what it says. A fresher version of the OG. Its still not "fresh" and still sweet - more like a lemon twist in your rum

Not every flanker is bad. Here we have a quite successful scent with some wood and floral influences, lightly trimmed for summer.

Great summery scent with a boozy vibe. Very close to the original with a pleasant citrus freshness underneath.

Floral-creamy with a delicate fresh aquatic note and a hint of spice underneath.
A lovely unisex spring fragrance that you could happily smell more often.

Beautiful, slightly soapy scent. Sweet at first, then a bit spicier. Versatile! Quite good longevity, weak projection.
