Earthy, Sweet Violet
This fragrance strongly reminds me of Heeley’s L`Amandiere which was released 5 years later, as it also plays with green and sweet facets. It starts with mineral/earthy notes; one might think they are smelling grass sod from below, so something plant-like mixed with slightly damp earth. A distinct yet transparent violet note comes in, while jasmine contributes floral and sweet elements. Perhaps there is also a hint of green almond involved, as the sweetness that hovers over everything I wouldn’t want to attribute solely to jasmine. Over time, the earthy impression subsides, but overall there is no significant scent development to note. This overall earthy/woody/floral/sweet fragrance is certainly an interesting olfactory experience, as is usually the case with CB-I Hate Perfume, which I would also classify as wearable, even though it comes across as a bit too sweet for my personal taste. I really think that anyone who likes L`Amandiere should definitely test this one as well, especially since it is significantly cheaper.
The longevity is in the medium range, the sillage is well noticeable but not overwhelming. Due to the sweetness, I would see it most suited for the female gender.
