Ishq with lollipop and high heels..
I bought a bottle of this fragrance here in the souk. I was just curious and didn't really know what to expect ...
I've been wearing mostly clean perfumes lately, which this fragrance is not at all, but the first time I sprayed it, it blew me away in a positive way. The fragrance is very attractive and smells incredibly good.
It's very similar to Ishq but with significantly less saffron and it's also much creamier than Ishq. Otherwise, the similarity is astounding. To all the women who found the Ishq too masculine because of the very present saffron note, which is slightly pungent in the Anfas but loved the DNA, should definitely try the Rocca, which is much more feminine and softer...For me, the fragrance is also much more noble than the Anfas....
The fragrance is very sweet but at the same time it has this slightly medicinal note, which I like very much, which goes in the same direction as Baccarat Rouge 540 Extrait de Parfum, just with a good sweet portion of raspberries and caramel. I only smell the floral notes very subtly. They don't play a major role. The fragrance starts with a lot of raspberry and a very nice orange peel note. The saffron is soft and absolutely not scratchy or annoying. So the fragrance stays very long into the deep drydown where amber and moss make the scent a touch herbal ..
When all the positive things are said, I have to say that I don't want to wear the fragrance in everyday life. I'm not really sure if I would even want to wear it here in Europe. It's sweet, heavy and very oriental.
I travel to the Emirates several times a year, soon again for 3 weeks, and the fragrance fits like a glove for the evening. When I get there, I'm going to wear my bottle up and down and I'm really looking forward to it.
I find the fragrance feminine. Too sweet and too much raspberry for a man. That is of course a matter of taste...
