Red juice

I am reminded of a collection of raspberries that grow in local flower beds.
Take from the bush and eat, enjoy the magical atmosphere, the embracing warmth. Collect calm, thoughts and worries somehow fade away, while the noise of the hustle and bustle of people fades and disappears.
I gather in my world, feelings and voices of love rise in my body and delicately caress parts of me.

Powdery, fruity and not a dupe

Ishq gets a lot of comparisons to Baccarat Rouge 540, but to me they're not even close to the same. It has some similar notes, but they're arranged in a different way. The sugary crunchiness and saffron we know from BR540 are tuned down considerably.

On my skin Ishq turns out very powdery right from the start. The talc note is really intense and reminds me of a compact powder specifically. An older one from 20+ years ago, nowadays they're usually not as strongly scented anymore.
On top of that I get the strawberry and also something like raspberry, very juicy and sweet. The combination of of powder and berries is lovely in the opening, I really like it. It smells somewhat rosy at first.
But then, the drydown leans too far into the powdery direction on me. Directly from the sprayer it's sweeter and fruitier and I'm a bit envious of those who get a better balance on their skin.
Therefore this is more of a like than a love for me personally.

A mild raspbery body lotion

I see alot of comparisons to baccarat rouge but I dont spot the similarities at all. This is its own unique fragrance. I like it but it doesnt smell too unique or sophisticated. Unique for a perfume yes but Ive smelt something similar in a strawberry body butter. The berry note is lighter in Ishq however. When I tried this in store I also tried the Anfas Gaya. Gaya had a huge fruit blast of pear so i was expecting Ishq to blow me away with a strong raspberry but no. Its very very subtle. More if you combine some milk with half a handful of raspberries and blended them together. Basically a raspberry milkshake that needs more sugar. The vanilla and saffron notes are very well blended though. But I do wish this had more of a fruity vibe. I feel its deliberately like this because it wants to be more unisex than female leaning.

Sillage and projection is weak. Very weak. This is a more intimate fragrance, requiring someone to get close to actually smell it on you. One thing I have to say which is a star is the bottle. My god I have never seen a more gorgeous bottle than the ones anfas makes.

Ideal für besondere Anlässe aber auch für den Alltag – geheimnisvoll, elegant und langanhaltend. Ein Duft, der nicht aufdringlich ist, aber eine Aura um sich schafft .

Ishq ist für mich ein richtig besonderer Duft - opulent, süß, cremig und mit dieser unfassbar leckeren Mango-Note. Sie gibt dem Duft etwas Fruchtiges was ich vorher so noch nicht gerochen habe. Viele sagen das ist eine alternative zum Baccarat Rouge. Was meiner meinung nach gar nicht der Fall ist. Ich finde ihn Perfekte für warme Tage und Abende.
