Not as bad as the ratings
Not as bad as you would suspect from rating number here
Minty, spicy, aquatic similar in opening to Polo Sport. Drydown is a bit cheap and sour smelling, but overall not nearly as bad as reviews here would lead you to believe.

Pros: Lost cost Polo Sport alternative

A Woody Fruity Kind of Thing...
Navy for Men was one of my first fragrances I collected several years ago. It opens up with a fruity synthetic kind of blast, a little bit tart (truthfully, it reminds me of cheap hard candy), and then settles down into an ambery, woody fragrance that is very pleasant.

Is this one a breakthrough fragrance? No. Does it smell good? Yes, if you can get past the top notes. It would make a good summer after shower fragrance, very casual.

It has also stood the test of time....this one was a FiFi award winner back in 1991 (broad and popular appeal), and I remember it being quite popular in my early 20s, with good reason.

Sillage is about average, and longevity is quite good on my skin (6+ hours, exceptional for cologne).

Overall, if you can get past the first ten or fifteen minutes with this one, it can be a nice budget buy.
