Don't inhale deeply

This is a lovely fragrance. Musky, sweet, light and unique. It's a typical musk in that it sets close to the skin and doesn't project. What makes it most challenging is that you can't get closer than 8-12" from where you sprayed it to smell it. If you do, the civet and animalics take over and it's not enjoyable. So while I really enjoy the fragrance, I don't think I can invest in a bottle that can only be enjoyed with so many constraints. What a shame because it's beautiful under perfect circumstances.

In the Back Room of Desire

There are fragrances that enter through the front door - freshly shaved, neatly dressed, ready for small talk. And then there is this one. It comes in through the back door, throws its jacket in the corner, and makes itself comfortable on my sofa without asking.

Filthy Musk imposes its direct physicality on me. It smells like... human. But not like shower gel human. More like "I've been out all day and now I'm sitting next to you, deal with it!"

But before I want to make my escape, something wonderful happens: beneath the roughness of the first impression of the wild beast lies something surprisingly tender. Creamy layers of musk, a soft cotton shirt. A hint of leather, a suggestion of unmade beds, and perhaps a shadow of powder that charmingly envelops the whole thing.

As it develops, it becomes less "filthy" and more "musk". The dirt remains, yes, but it transforms - from street grime to patina, from chaos to character. You can smell a certain degree of life here, not just fragrance.

And while I perceive all of this, I quietly smile to myself. Others hope that I smell like fresh cotton in the sun. However, Filthy Musk, worn by me, serves them an honest, raw, and direct opinion. Rarely have I been glad not to have to ask for others' opinions, but instead to revel in glances.

The moral??! This is not a fragrance for the mother-in-law, and that is its greatest charm. Whoever wears it needs no absolution, but only the calm to endure the untidy in the scent - and perhaps even discover the truly human within it.

A Gourmand Dream for Winter

The brand was initially unknown to me, but a test in the store changed everything. At home, I smelled the sample again and was thrilled: A fascinating winter fragrance! The longevity is impressive - even after a week, my sweater still smells.

About the scent: No pineapple, but it doesn’t need it. It radiates warmth, reminiscent of roasted almonds with caramel, honey, and a nutty note. Despite my reservations about gourmand fragrances, this one has won me over. Sweet tonka bean, creamy musk, jasmine, and a gentle vanilla blend into a harmonious, well-thought-out composition. A unique, rounded scent - absolutely recommended for winter!
