The Playful Treasure
Since I already own the original and love it very, very much and don't want to do without it anymore, I also dared to try Caresse. When I sprayed it on my wrist, the first thing I smelled was bergamot and lychee, which then dissipate very quickly. After 2 minutes, a creamy freshness emerges that has a slightly sweet scent, making the whole thing even more interesting and better because you can smell a certain almond note with a hint of light vanilla. You can tell that it has a certain similarity to the original, but it is much lighter, nicer, and more suitable for everyday wear. I also perceived jasmine lightly; it wasn't very present, much more in the background. In this perfume, I find that the tonka bean, lychee, and vanilla are much more prominent. Sometimes I caught a whiff of a certain but slightly sweet raspberry note, which makes the whole thing very feminine and playful ;). Overall, this perfume is very successful; those who can't stand the original will likely warm up to this one since it is much lighter and should be significantly more bearable for most who don't like the real Tresor. I still stick with my favorite, but I also really like this one :)

The Last Love Lasts Forever
I love the Trésors. They are, for me, the gem among designer fragrances. Always pleasant, loving, high-quality, and unbeatable in price.

This scent completely flew under my radar. You can't find it in any of the big department stores, so I thought it was just a failed experiment by Lancôme.

But by chance, I came across the fragrance, and since lychee and raspberry are two of my favorite notes for summer, I took the plunge and bought it blind.

And now I wonder … how on earth is this fragrance not sold at the counters??

The top note was the most delicious, loving experience I have smelled in a long time. So fruity, perfectly balanced, and simply feminine. Over time, the scent becomes a bit darker, but it still retains its playful quality. The base is heavenly and a true pleasure.

One could say it is La Nuit Trésor L'Eau de Parfum in a softer, slightly more youthful and romantic version. This fragrance is definitely my summer scent for 2021 and for the coming years as well.

I also assume it will be discontinued, so I need to get a backup bottle before that happens. If you like the Trésors,
I would definitely recommend you give it a try.

Sweet Fresh Kick
I love Trésor la nuit. I really wanted this one just because of the name Caresse: Who says no to promised caresses? There is a similarity, but for me, it is still an independent fragrance. It starts off really fresh with a subtle sweetness; the freshness likely comes from the pink pepper, and it is fruity as well, especially the raspberries which smell delicious. As it develops, Caresse becomes softer and warmer. However, compared to the original, it is overall lighter and thus more suitable for everyday wear. I couldn't perceive any patchouli, so the smoky aspect that I appreciate in La Nuit is missing. I still like it; finally, a successful blind buy again. The bottle is almost the same as the original, beautiful and elegant, but unfortunately, I was expecting a light pink like in the photo here. Only the floral ribbon is pink. Also important to know: You can smell the rose, but it is more of a wild rose, which is very pleasant and quite nice even for rose fragrance haters (like me).

Caresse - the lighter La Nuit Trésor
After I really liked La Nuit Trésor, I bought a bottle of Caresse today since it was 50 percent off. It definitely smells similar to La Nuit, but it is lighter and therefore more suitable for everyday wear and warmer temperatures. I agree with the comment below; while La Nuit is dark and sexy, Caresse is more playful and romantic, making it a good fit for a date. In the opening, you can clearly identify juicy lychee, and then, after a few minutes, the scent becomes more floral. Jasmine, almond blossom, and rose are said to be responsible for this. The whole thing is supported by a cozy base of tonka bean, musk, and vanilla. I don't smell patchouli. This fragrance is beautiful, no question about it, but I prefer La Nuit a bit more because of the delicious praline and incense. Caresse is brighter, more delicate. A fine fruity tonka bean-vanilla scent veil surrounds you. Delicious! A very fine little fragrance, lovely for evenings and going out. This scent pairs even better with "A Little Bit of Your Heart" by Ariana Grande than with La Nuit. "A little bit of your heart is all I want." Sigh.

The better Armani Diamonds or: the base has pulled it through
Through an engaging conversation with the lovely GirlofNow about our favorite La nuits (hers the classic, mine a la folie), I took a closer look at Caresse. I was familiar with it, but I hadn’t really considered it.
I was very confused by the color of the bottle online. It is advertised as light pink, but in reality, the liquid is creamy and slightly honey-yellow-powdery. Is this definitely the "Caresse"? I wondered. But after various comparisons and googling, I was sure. Since it has already been discontinued, my hunting instinct was awakened, and I managed to snag a new bottle at a good price.

When it arrived, I was delighted with the pretty bottle, which fits wonderfully with "Nude" and "a la folie." It has the rose ribbon around the neck again, while the other two have the loop.
Upon the first spray (I always do this with my blind buys, but thankfully none have gone really wrong yet), I immediately thought of "Armani Diamonds" and grimaced. Exactly the same association, as both contain lychee and raspberry. Loud, present lychee and raspberry in each of them, I wouldn’t have expected that from Lancome.
I must say, I have somehow outgrown "Diamonds." Suddenly, it feels too shrill to me, the raspberries seem modernly muted, it is piercing and synthetic, although not off-putting. Perhaps my nose and fragrance preferences have simply evolved. But since the bottle is pretty and it accompanied me during my rehab from my major hip surgery, I can’t seem to part with it. Sentimental value and all that. But I digress.

Thank goodness we are dealing with a perfume from Lancome, which always promises me noble and high-quality scents. That’s why "Caresse" also has a nice development, and despite the initial insane similarity to "Diamonds," you can smell that it is a perfume from Lancome and the "La Nuit Tresor" line.
The well-known Damask rose unites in the heart note with almond blossom, which I find extraordinarily pleasing. I also think I smell a hint of honey, although it is not listed.
The longevity is, as always for me, very good, and even the next morning I can still smell it close to the skin.
However, I had to test "Caresse" several times to decide whether it should stay or move on. The heart and base notes have, however, put me in a mild mood, especially the beautiful almond blossom, which reminds me a bit of the Kneipp body oil that I always add to the bathwater on baby bath days.
It can be worn both in the evening and during the day, but please dose sparingly, as it can also be a little headache-inducing. On cooler to cold days, it wafts around you like a creamy, yellow-gold veil.

I almost have to force myself to spray it on, and then stubbornly ignore the penetrating top note; it really borders on love-hate. Although the love grows stronger each time.
The beautiful Tahitian vanilla and musk engage in a battle with lychee and raspberry until the end. Sometimes one team wins, sometimes the other, but thankfully Team Fruit has had its big and intrusive appearance behind it.

Who knows, maybe I’ll give "Diamonds" another chance soon and compare both directly with each other. But I already know that "Diamonds" is clearer, sharper, more piercing, and much less round-creamy than "Caresse."
Same same but different indeed.

Sweet fruity raspberry rose invites a rendezvous, almost liqueur-like, pepper hides behind a creamy vanilla musk base. Yummy…!

Wow, my new and only signature scent. I'm only wearing this now and throwing everything else away. It's very refined. Lancome just knows how to do it.

I don't find it that sweet at all. More like rose cream à la Carita and the like with patchouli smoke from La Nuit. In my opinion, one of the best mainstream fragrances.

Successful blind buy.
Very sexy, sweet, and perfectly balanced.
Lychee disappears quickly, leaving a softer Ur la nuit.
