Soothing, Calming, Hypnotic In Its Embrace
A crisp opening of bergamot and apple give this fragrance a zestiness and a top note sharpness that's delightful. NYC begins to mellow with my chemistry into a delicious, warm, ambery feeling, vanilla-spiced, infused by the tonka beans to give it a creaminess that is luxurious and satisfying. It's warm and salty to the scent, almost hypnotic with its musk, enveloping you in its embrace. A hint of buttery gourmand underlies this perfume, drawing you in, yet the scent of tea is strong and keeps NYC grounded. For me, this is a comforting scent, a relaxing, beautiful fragrance that's sensual and can sit either close to the skin or just a little bit further, depending on how you spray. A decidedly segue into Fall scent with its crisper weather. Spray it on your pillows for a soothing slumber. This is a scent I rest my head on my arms to inhale deeply. It also reminds me of Anthropologie's Hamarikyu's Gardens. The bottle is tall and rectangular, reminding me of skyscrapers with helipads on top. Longevity about 2-3 hours with the EdP, lesser with the EdT. I really love this perfume, it's very soothing and calming.

affordable
After I was able to score points with my mother-in-law using Style by Arden, and I liked the scent, I decided to try NYC.

It was on sale at Rossi, and I always like to bring a fragrance as a gift for ladies.

And NYC is not only inexpensive but also "affordable".
Anyone who likes sweet fruity scents will be well advised with this one.
Nevertheless, there is also a touch of elegance - so it's not a squeaky sweet teenage scent.

Bergamot, apple, peach, and currant tumble out of the bottle, surrounded by jasmine and peony.
The vanilla rounds out the scent without taking away its freshness.
The longevity is good on me - there's nothing to complain about.

A nice little gift at a good price, with which you can't go wrong with fruit lovers.

Pleasant but quite disappointing performance. Good base for layering of otherwise weak and boring perfumes with a common note.

First pleasant, light, floral, and fresh, then sweetly fruity in the later stages, and finally soft and gentle again!

At first, a typical Arden: fresh and floral. Then a hint of almond comes in, which becomes very cozy over time. It resembles "Touch of Woman."

I only smell coffee with a lot of sugar, but I'm a tea drinker.

This is a really beautiful, soft scent that I can wear every day. The longevity has improved a lot after about 1 year.

Floral, very sweet fruit bomb with a scratchy background note.
