aqua-synthetic bomb
after reading all these reviews praising this “lovely, delightful, fresh, and watery coconut fragrance”, i decided to try it out for myself. big mistake. upon first spray i was absolutely blasted in the face with a scent that was intensely synthetic and alcoholic. i had such a visceral reaction to it i thought i could be pregnant. i wasn’t.

Halloween in the Salted Caribbean
Hello folks, I'm back! Phew, I haven't written anything here for two months... I actually wanted to write something new at the beginning of October, but something came up. I mean, October,... Hello? Those who know me know that I particularly like two things:
… no, I'm not talking about Star Wars. Or Indiana Jones. Or Batman. Or video games. Or comics in general. Or scantily dressed girls… uh okay… there are indeed more than two things I like… :D

But October is the Halloween month, and as you know, besides Christmas, I'm totally into Halloween, so instead of sniffing perfumes and writing about them in October, I chose a spooky/horror and Halloween theme every day and drew a picture about it with my children's book cat figures (yes, there are people who have more than just a perfume hobby, even if it might be hard for you to believe, he he). By the way, if you're interested in the pictures, just message me and I'll show you where you can view them (for free, of course). You can get an idea of that if you check out the last picture from my last Christmas blog :)

...
So, now we have November, which is usually quieter (I did have a birthday at the beginning of November, but I'm glad that's behind me... we're all getting older and older, and... especially you all know exactly what I mean, he he he… :D). Then we recently renovated something where even a bottle broke... ha ha that was a joke, I love scaring you! :D
But then a few days ago, I finally sniffed something again!

And now I finally come to the scent. And as a good re-entry into a scent review, I chose, once again, a tea scent :D And the fragrances from Elizabeth Arden are usually quite good, maybe a bit too light and fleeting, but I generally find them quite nice.

And today it's about "Green Tea Coconut Breeze," which already sounds summery or like a vacation, something that some are surely missing due to the now cold days, even though I have to admit that I am currently in my favorite season and am already a bit sad that Christmas will soon be over, even though we don't even have December yet,… argh, in two weeks it will surely be summer again with killer heat waves, nooooo!!! :D
But to the scent:

The Scent:
The scent starts immediately with the familiar green tea scent, which smells quite nice and fresh together with a citrus note. However, then a rather unusual scent note comes in: salt! Well, the fragrance description mentions salted coconut (do you sprinkle salt on a coconut??? okay… :D), but I wouldn't have thought that the salt scent could be perceived so intensely here. I actually smell more salt than coconut. However, it doesn't smell bad, even though it somewhat overshadows the tea. The scent, however, smells like a vacation scent, so summery fresh by the sea near the coast, where the air smells of salty sea scent. I find it quite nice.
And yes, coconut eventually comes in, although rather little, and you have to smell closer to the skin for that.
So,… I had hoped that the following wouldn't be noticeable, but after a short while, a bit of coriander seems to come through. There may be strange people who are said to like the scent of coriander… but I absolutely do not like it :D The scent is still weak, and I hope it stays that way because otherwise, it would ruin the whole perfume for me personally… but let's keep looking or better sniffing!
A little later, the salt and the coriander fortunately fade. Now you can smell green tea again with citrus notes and a light, creamy background. The artificially created scent notes like Petalia or Karmaflor smell just as they are described (yes, I had to look it up), so mainly floral scent notes, although I can't say anything specific here. Perhaps a bit rosy scented maybe?
In any case, in the base, there is still a light tea scent, but the scent is now becoming a bit sweeter, I assume due to the amber and musk, which smell quite nice. This lasts for about 1-2 hours before the scent gradually fades.
All in all, a scent that smells quite nice, as long as you like coconut, green tea, and slightly sweet notes.

The Sillage and Longevity:
Like almost all Green Tea scents from Elizabeth Arden, this one also has a rather weak sillage and only smells strong when applied. After that, it becomes noticeably weaker in the next few minutes and is also quickly close to the body. But I think this scent is still among the slightly stronger Green Tea scents.
Therefore, due to the sweeter base, the longevity is also longer, so I would say around four to five hours, although the scent is, as mentioned, mostly close to the body during that time.

The Bottle:
The bottle still has the same shape as it has for years, but comes with a different design. This time, you see a color gradient from teal to pink in pastel tones, and fitting with the vacation feeling of the scent, there are also palm trees next to a green tea leaf on the front. Nothing special in itself, but at least quite nice to look at.

Conclusion:
Hmm, yes, I would classify Green Tea Coconut Breeze among the more successful scents of the Green Tea line. The initial vacation-like scent and the later warm-sweet base appeal to me quite a bit. You do have to accept that these scents generally radiate rather weakly, but that applies to many, even quite expensive summer scents as well.

It is certainly clear that the scent fits best in spring and summer; on colder days, you can only enjoy it at home, although you could also use it as a casual "office scent" if you don't want to fill the whole office with a fragrance. Especially in winter, one tends to apply scents way too much and envelop everything in clouds of fragrance :D

The scent is often compared to Guerlain's Coconut Fizz, but I don't have the scent from Guerlain in mind anymore, so I can't say anything about it. I could read it in my own review, but let's be honest, who even reads my reviews? Especially when they are so long? :D

A test is definitely recommended, as it should still be available, at least online it is still available (November 2025).

So, I've talked a lot here again… :D
Thanks for reading, I wish you all a lovely evening, until next time then, which hopefully won't take so long this time :)

Citrusy and Sparkling with Great Coconut
Next up are cheapies that you can easily buy at the drugstore. The Green Tea line from Elizabeth Arden is quite well-known and definitely has its fans. New flankers come out every year, usually really beautiful summery versions of this great line. Here, of course, with this wonderful coconut note. Coconut is a note that I really enjoy in the height of summer and it radiates such beautiful exotic vibes. Of course, not everyone likes this note, but in fragrances, it tends to be a likable note. This Green Tea line offers great value for money, and you can usually get the 100ml for just over €10, and it's available in many drugstores. This Coconut Breeze is from last year and is not so hyped with under 100 reviews here. You can buy it blind without any problems, and it is simply very pleasing and uncomplicated. The name Coconut Breeze is fitting with this lovely slightly maritime DNA with an exotic coconut twist.

It is declared as a women's fragrance, but the scent itself is quite unisex due to this coconut-citrus combo. It strongly reminds me of other coconut fragrances, but this version is unique.
The bottle is quite colorful and also fits the theme well. It is kept quite cheap-looking, but it looks great. Plastic cap, sprayer not so elegant, but that doesn't detract from the vibe at this price.
In terms of scent, you get what you expect: a summery, cheerful, lively coconut fragrance, enhanced with a wonderful citrus and slightly aquatic notes. Exotic vacation vibes come through here. The coconut note is not too cloying or creamy like in similar fragrances, but rather nice and sparkling due to the citrus. The coconut is slightly salted, which gives this fragrance a laid-back vibe. This bergamot note is also a no-brainer for the intense heat and beautiful sunny hours. Starting from the heart note, green tea is added, which slightly fades due to the strong coconut note. Nevertheless, light green notes are perceptible. There are also Givaudan notes with synthetic elements. This combination of synthetic notes creates a wonderful creamy-clean scent, here combined with clean musk. A great transition from citrus & exotic to soft notes. Overall, a wonderful transformation from intense coconut & citrus to a very gentle and clean heart and base note. These notes in the later hours provide soft, clean, and uncomplicated notes with a slight aquatic touch. The base towards the end also offers soft and sensual notes that hardly clash. Overall, a great coconut fragrance with a lovely salty note. It should be on the radar for coconut and cheapie fans.
Performance is not bad for this style and this price. The sillage in the first 2 hours is really strong, and even in the following hours, the projection is not bad. These soft notes are perfect for everyday wear and as a mood booster in between. I especially like it as a fragrance for casual wear.

This fragrance is a casual no-brainer that simply comes off as cool and brings good vibes. I can absolutely recommend it, and if you like this note, you should definitely test it.

Green Tea with Salty Coconut
There it was .., in the store, the last bottle on sale and unfortunately there was no tester available. Quickly checked Parfumo reviews. Hmm, opinions are a bit mixed. Well, you have to take a chance to win.

But hihi, I won :)

I already liked the regular "Green Tea (Eau Parfumée) | Elizabeth Arden," even though its longevity was just okay.

With this one, you can clearly notice the green tea DNA, which I’m glad about because I really like it. And then, at first, I was a bit put off by the distinctly noticeable salty coconut. But then I kept sniffing it, and lo and behold, salty, fresh coconut can be so lovely in combination with green tea.

And the best part is yet to come, it lasts significantly longer (at least on me) than the regular green tea. I get a good 8 hours out of this summer fragrance.

Green Tea with Coconut
The Green Tea Coconut Breeze unmistakably contains the classic Green Tea DNA.
However, with the coconut elements, it gains an additional player, making the scent completely unique.

The fragrance starts with the well-known Green Tea DNA, recognized for its beautiful fresh tea note. The green tea, along with bergamot accents, creates this lovely impression.
Furthermore, the coconut elements are already distinctly noticeable. I also immediately catch floral accents in my nose.

Over time, the floral accents become a bit more intense, but never too strong.
I find the original Green Tea to be unisex. Such a beautiful tea scent suits both men and women perfectly.
The fragrance is listed as a women's scent, but that is really complete nonsense.
Here with the Coconut Breeze, I can somewhat understand the classification as a women's fragrance due to the floral accents, but I still disagree. I believe that the Coconut Breeze is also unisex.
However, it probably stands out a bit more on women.

All in all, a great scent for summer that also has a very strong price-performance ratio. That is truly outstanding.

A nice creamy, but green, coconut. Not sunscreen. A touch of citrus, I love it!! Wish it lasted longer, but it is just a body mist!!

Sometimes I find coconut annoying. Here it’s just a bit bothersome, but overall it’s not a bad scent.

Half-acquat with nutty character - coconut moss and coriander blossom - bergamot tea and light ink on a lemon base in amber salt brine - Arden mix - GOOD!

For everyone who (like me) usually doesn't like coconut scents. Herbal and sweet at the same time, minimally creamy, not synthetic at all. Great!

Similar to Aqua Allegoria Coconut Fizz. Just a bit sweeter. So a good alternative to the discontinued Fizz.

Zesty-lemonade-like, aquatic. Softly bitter bergamot, tart pear & a hint of creamy coconut on familiar green tea DNA. Well done.

Lovely scent, fresh, lightly aquatic, subtle coconut and gentle green tea. It will definitely be great when it gets warm again.
