Surprising
The comparison of "Honeymoon" with "Naxos" here surprised me. Somehow, I was immediately against it, because I never wanted Naxos, but Honeymoon was instantly mine.
Since I luckily have both available, I tested them against each other today. And indeed, they are very similar.
But Naxos has a piercing note in it, it shoots straight into the nose from the very beginning and unfortunately stays until the drydown. This makes the scent cool and mineral-like; it seems somewhat arrogant and distant to me, and that is not to its advantage.
Honeymoon is much rounder. It enchants from the start, plays with nuances, constantly evolves, and arouses curiosity for what comes next.
Now, in the drydown, the same difference remains. The base of Honeymoon is darker, richer, warmer than that of Naxos. It somehow gives the impression that Honeymoon is made from higher quality raw materials. And the scent of MonKoku overall is better than that of Xerjoff. Also, Honeymoon is significantly better than T/H. I don't know how Monkoku does it, but they surpass the highly praised brands. Luckily. For my luck.
I am so excited about the upcoming fragrances! Because they have promised over 100 compositions. So hopefully they will continue to surprise positively :) Thank you
UPD: After 8 hours, they are absolutely different scents. Honeymoon -- warm, enveloping, spicy. Naxos -- cool, still a bit piercing, woody.
