From the Lucky Dip
Today at the supermarket, I treated myself to another dive into my "lucky dip," meaning the discounted fragrance grab box.

My own rule is that whatever I pull out is what I take.
Hopefully not an aftershave - but that can be gifted.

So, sport, play, excitement.

I fished out Feel Happy.
In my last "private" game, I had grabbed Pure - would Feel Happy also be a lucky find?
Already in the car, I had to check my find.

Oh, delicious pear, spiced with surprisingly gentle ginger - brightened by transparent mandarin.
My nose feels addressed - directly uplifted.
Then it becomes bright floral with elegant peony and delicate lily of the valley - the scent remains friendly and ethereal.
Lightly, cedar joins in - without weighing down Feel Happy.

Yes, I am very satisfied with my random pick - and even my husband tolerates this cheerful companion as a passenger.

Unobtrusive and in a good mood - a lovely counterpart to Pure, which I also owe to my "gambling."

Cheerful Mood Booster
Among the drugstore fragrances, the scents from Esprit are my favorites alongside the Betty Barclays. They are fresh and uncomplicated, just what I need. Whether for everyday wear or special occasions, they fit perfectly. Feel Happy has been around since autumn, but I think this fragrance suits spring much better. Today is the first truly warm spring day, and Feel Happy fits here just perfectly. The scent feels cheerful, carefree, a bit playful, and very feminine to me. It simply lifts my spirits. I find the bottle pretty and almost a bit elegant. By the way, I have not regretted my spontaneous winter purchase; I still like it very much.

Feel Happy starts off floral-fresh. It should actually be fruity-fresh, considering the fragrance notes. It is fruity, yes, but not overly fruity like many women's fragrances. To my nose, it is clearly floral-fresh with fruity undertones. I perceive the freshness as very feminine and soft. I can easily identify pear and mandarin, as well as a hint of ginger, but really just a hint. I don't know where the flowers come from. *thinking* Anyway, quite quickly, fragrant peonies join in, and the lily of the valley adds a slightly soapy freshness that makes the scent really pleasant. I don't detect any pink pepper, but that doesn't matter. In the base, the fragrance becomes pleasantly woody, with cedar giving it a nice balsamic softness.

Overall, I find the scent slightly sweet, but the sweetness is pleasantly soft, like a ripe pear. Right now, with the first spring days here and the sun shining warmly for the first time, I find the fragrance quite enchanting. Why it was launched in autumn is a mystery to me...

Unfortunately, Feel Happy fades away after just about 4 hours. Therefore, I don’t find the longevity particularly impressive - however, I prefer to reapply than to have a scent cling to me forever, as that annoys me sooner or later. Plus, I like lighter scents in spring anyway, so I can still perceive what is blooming around me. And you don’t need much of it. 2 - 3 sprays are completely sufficient - for a fresh, light fragrance, it is surprisingly intense without being overpowering or cheap-smelling. I also find it completely age-independent - anyone can wear it if they like it, regardless of age.

Esprit has once again launched a lovely, everyday-friendly fragrance. If you like fresh and light scents, you must definitely give it a try!

I gifted it for Christmas and the recipient really liked it. Subtle, lovely, floral, and fresh.
