Heavy vanilla
Yep it’s Vanilla and oh yes is it divine. It’s giving me a warm, comforting feeling. It’s heavy, giving me tobacco vibes, just like its famous twin brother I don’t need to talk about anymore here. It leaves trails of pepper and frankincense after a couple of hours contributing even more to the divinity of this fragrance.

By the way I really applaud the way Essential Parfums brings these fragrances to market, leaving out the middleman and making these great scents available for a wide audience.

Divine Vanille…
There’s something familiar about this, but not in a Spiritueuse Double Vanille type of way. This is denser and spicier, and my nose really picks up on that cinnamon and black pepper. To that end, I can see the comparisons to Angels Share although I wouldn't call them similar. The vanilla in this is dry and smokey, add some warm spices and woody qualities and you have a unisex vanilla that's perfect for Autumn/Winter. The performance is alright. It's a nice addition to anyone seeking out vanilla with touches of warm spice. Those expecting a sugary/gourmand vanilla this is NOT the perfume for you and you might be disappointed. Think of things like Grand Soir and Herod and if those are your type of vanilla then this could work! The price is superb! Not full bottle worthy for me as I prefer my vanilla a touch sweeter.

Excellent Warm Vanilla Gourmand
Sweet vanilla and osmanthus, which adds a floral touch with peachy undertones. The faintest dusting of spices give it a slightly dry, powdery feel. The spices and lurking tonka bean give a sort of tobacco-like accord, making this similar to a tobacco-vanilla fragrance with the balance heavily toward vanilla. Conceptually reminds me of JTC 400 with the way it accents its primary accord (vanilla here, honey + tobacco in 400) with floral and fruity accords. Like 75% vanilla, 10% spicy, 10% floral, 5% fruity. Moderate initial projection quickly softens to an intimate scent bubble over 2-3hr total. Longevity 6-8hr.

Excellent, authentic vanilla gourmand. The cinnamon really sells it as something to get warm + cozy with. Performance isn't great but it's surprisingly cheap for a niche fragrance, similar to that of an ordinary designer frag, and purchases support a great company that makes heavy use of sustainable naturals and packaging.

Herod comes across as very tobacco-forward to my nose so I don't think the two are comparable, nor do I feel it's similar to Spiritueuse Double Vanille which is boozy and lacks the cinnamon. This does have a bit of a boozy punch on initial spray but it settles out after 5-10 minutes. At any rate, this is its own scent.

Vanille's Share ?
Upon initial spray it's a clear mix betwern Nishane's Ani and the "sugar-y" aspects Arnaud Poulain uses in his masterworks from Les Eaux Primordiales.
After a few minutes the molecules settled on my skin and there's something familiar there. I close my eyes and let my mind wander.

"Angels' Share" is what the mind remembers, a boozy gourmandy masterwork but not as prominent as the latter.

For those who like Olivier's previous work won't be disappointed, but unique isn't a word one should use when describing this craft.

On a budget and like the direction Essential Parfumes is heading, this is your Angel in a bottle. But do remember; you won't be alone in the cold winterwinds.

More vanilla-leaning Herod alternative, very well done - sweet and spicy
Essential Parfums Divine Vanille is a warm vanilla scent with spices and resins that yields a cozy result that’s somewhat gourmand-leaning but still has a bit of a vanilla candle vibe, also. In fact, it has enough spice that it smells a lot like Parfums de Marly Herod, a celebrated sweet and spicy tobacco blend with vanilla and honey. Divine Vanille smells quite close, achieving a similar result without a listed tobacco note, pivoting the emphasis slightly to the vanilla, so the fragrance is similarly outstanding to Herod, with quite strong performance and more modest pricing.

As with the rest of the house, this is EDP concentration and priced at $96 for 100ml, sold in the US via boutiques like Ministry of Scent, from which I bought my discovery set.

For anyone looking for something quite comparable to Herod at a more modest price, this is a great alternative of similar quality.

A bit sharper but very similar to Herod. Even quality wise and it's way cheaper & since Herod got reformulated this one is a no brainer imo.

A lot like Herod, but DV is a little more airy & perhaps more unisex. If that sounds good to you and you don’t have Herod, this is a steal.

Herod minus the tobacco. Beautiful, airy, non-saccharine spicy vanilla with loads of cinnamon.

Sweet vanilla & osmanthus with a faint dusting of spices. ~75% warm creamy vanilla, 10% spicy, 10% floral + 5% apricot from the osmanthus.
