This is a lighter summer version of the floral-clean "Pleasure fragrance," which was launched in 1995. If you don't like the original Pleasures scent, you should not consider Eau Fraiche, as the new variant is not far from the first creation. Why would Lauder change much about this bestseller? True to the motto "Never change a winning team," the differences are hardly noticeable. Peony, jasmine, lilies, pink pepper... all these components remain intact, the light lilac top note is not present in the heart (disappointment for me - I would have liked more lilac). The fragrance comes across as a bit fresher and greener than the regular "Pleasures," but since I could never really warm up to the neat original version, "Eau fraiche" is also not on my wish list. "Pleasures Eau fraiche" smells somewhat artificial-synthetic and has that special charm of "clean person"... so a clinically clean, sterile aura. "For the sheer pleasure of it" is the tagline for the fragrance. No pleasure for me. By the way: the pink plastic cap on the bottle does not look particularly elegant.
