A fantastic member of the Oud Wood family!
I love the intensely clean, fresh forest smell of T.F. Oud Wood, but I'm not so wild about the price. Luckily there are a few others out there that are very similar, and my favorite so far is Terre D'hermes, which is extremely close but slightly more peppery. FM 335 is also really close to Oud Wood, but it has a hint of Cardamom spice and a slight touch of vanilla which makes it seem more complex than either TF or TDH. For the price FM 335 is terrific, and is a perfect winter choice for the Oud Wood lover!

not what i expected
I had high hopes for this but to me it literally smells like leather and insect repellant. FM331 is far superior yet somehow got lesser of a rating... I blind bought this and have decided to immediately retire it to the collection cupboard.

Bargain Sensation
I already mentioned it in my blog, the first perfume I became aware of through this community is FM 335 by Federico Mahora. I actually just went online to see which Tom Ford comes close to Oud Wood and could offer a bit longer longevity, so I wouldn't end up with test strips lying around at home again and then be unable to decide.
I like Tom Ford; the fragrances have something unique that always sets them apart from others. I always explained this to myself by the quality of the ingredients. However, this perspective has been somewhat drastically turned on its head. Because the heart note of Oud Wood is almost identical to FM 335, with a price difference of over 250 euros. To make up for this price difference, you will soon need the largest existing euro note when the 500-euro bill is abolished.

I still have a small amount of Oud Wood left, which is why I was able to compare them directly yesterday. FM 335 smells slightly synthetic in this direct comparison, as it lacks the earthy and herbal nuances that make Oud Wood a better fragrance. But it could also simply be the sweet (vanilla?) Oud bomb that makes the 335 seem a bit artificial to my nose. The opening is too intense for me, which creates this slightly artificial impression. However, I must also say that this impression only arose for me in comparison to Oud Wood. When the package arrived and I tested FM335 for the first time, it seemed extremely high-quality and like Oud Wood in my memory.
There is no top or base note in the 335; it smells from the beginning as it does at the end. Only the intensity decreases, which in my eyes, or rather my nose, is an advantage, as the fragrance becomes much more pleasant.

I found the bottle and the packaging surprisingly chic. The cap is made of plastic, but still appears high-quality and almost as if it were made of metal. To be honest, I find the one from Lalique Encre Noir, for example, less appealing.

The longevity on my skin is relatively poor. I can agree with other comments on this, even regarding Oud Wood, although I find Oud Wood quite pleasant. I believe others hardly perceive Oud Wood on me after 4-6 hours, but I can still smell it very well when I bring my nose to my arm. With FM335, it barely lasts on my skin and can hardly be perceived after just 1-2 hours. However, it lasts longer on clothing than Oud Wood.

Conclusion: for an incredibly good price (I paid 20 euros including shipping for 100 ml), you get a high-quality perfume that doesn't hold well on the skin but does on clothing, and whose intensity and sillage initially go overboard but reach a good level over time.

My ratings may vary over time, as I only started last week and it's still not entirely clear what a 5.0, 7.0, 10.0, etc. means to me... I will adjust this later when I have rated several fragrances.

Good Woody Scent with Its Own Character
This dupe comes very close to the original TF - Oud Wood. It brings its own character with it. It has something "special." The price-performance ratio is definitely worthwhile. Performance and longevity are also good.

What was it about "grating sweet wood"?
No question, it does that too! But in a mischievously elegant way. What begins with a "spice route" culminates in a campfire where exciting ghost stories are told from the "dark forest." Deep inside the heart of the perfume lies a true forest spirit. And even more: sweet-smelling smoke alternates with balsamic and herbaceous aromas that stand on grounded-green feet. Licorice? Not a chance! But something that resembles "candied bark." Perhaps the blend of vanilla and agarwood? Or the subtle uprising of amber in connection with rosewood?
Anything is possible! But doesn't a "grassy" note sneak in there? Like "weather-beaten" tufts of dry meadow grasses. Vetiver, I suspect. Far away from the forest by now. Yet allowing it to draw ever closer as the journey continues. At the (now cooled) campfire, which still holds the memories of the exciting evening before.
Now back to being "down-to-earth," yet still with a hint of a sly wink that creates a "spice mood" :-))

Absolutely Oud Wood, a 99% twin, great... and also kind of "worrying" that the more or less same scent experience is only 27 euros!

Cheeky but impressively identical replica of Ford's Oud Wood. However, the price is quite cheeky. Performance is about the same.

Hard to believe that FM 335 can be mentioned in the same breath as a classic from Tom Ford in this price range. Respect!

This one really delivers, it tickles nicely and feels much more expensive than it is. A hint of Oud Noir on top. Go for it!

Great value for money. With minor drawbacks, but still close to the original. Definitely recommend buying! My favorite for winter.

Charming fruity cheerful Oud Wood, where you can add more as you please without mourning the decreasing level.

A very successful Oud Wood copy - initially quite spicy for me (cardamom?) but in the drydown beautiful woods with vanilla - a great price!

TF - Oud Wood dupe with a certain something. Performance and longevity are good. For a small price, you get great value.

95% Oud Wood. Slight compromises in longevity, very slight in scent. If you can't afford Tom Ford, this is a great alternative!
