A Turning Point at the End of the Day
Do you like living in the midst of a big city? Perhaps even in traffic-calmed zones! But certainly not on loud main roads. Rather in a pedestrian zone on the first floor above a perfumery. Or, even better, near a large city park. And, whenever you have the chance, visit it. Stroll along the paths. Sit on a bench or under a tree. Head to a gazebo, if available. Go in any weather (except during a hurricane). Enjoy the peace, the greenery, and the scents. During the day in summer, floral fragrances beckon, the smells of the leaves of the trees, the aroma of linden blossoms, acacias, or birches. In spring, the delicate scents of sprouting greens, lily of the valley, and much more. Autumn also offers many fragrances. The scent of falling leaves, the last roses, the damp scent in the fog....
But in the evening, on the way to night, there are scents you wouldn’t notice during the day. So mysteriously aromatic from the barks of the trees that "exhale" the last daylight, the spicy and dark scents of slowly cooling grass and herbs, attracting moisture. The almost smoky aromas of mosses in hidden spots. Not to forget the olfactory diversity of various evening and night bloomers. From herbaceous and inky to floral-aromatic.
Such a city park offers so much. And in the evening, the cheerful-calm atmosphere mysteriously transforms into an almost magical "other world" behind the reality of the day. Darker, shadowy, herbaceous, and earthy. Depending on the season, warm and humid, dusty and dry, green-"leathery," sometimes almost animalistic. Surrender to the special atmosphere.
If you live in the city, the nearest park is not too far away. Or rely on the scent of "City"....., if you have it. Even if you don’t live in the city......
