for the little Oud craving in between
In autumn, when the brown leaves fall, I like to tinker in my workshop; it’s always these little sleds that I make from resinous wood that I’ve found. In summer, on the other hand, I enjoy taking walks in the rainforest, collecting rice and harvesting honey from the agarwood tree. Sometimes I play catch with a musk animal.
In spring, when the earth awakens and the incense melts, I like to visit our old library; it’s always so dusty, beautifully cozy, and dry. You can almost smell the old parchment rolls. I flip through
but prefer to rummage through old books, I like to taste the leather, and it’s informative anyway.

eel smooth and shiny, coated with
a sweet honey wax turpentine glaze, resinous, dry, balsamic, and woody, wrapped in fragile rice paper. The scent becomes darker, smokier, a light incense mist, slightly earthy, and a musk animal sneaks around far away. Towards the end, warm and cozy, so many amber stones?! A museum and antique wood, old dry books bound in leather.
For me, it’s a young Oud
that presents the incense profile
more autumn wood than rainforest
the third dimension is not there
But it conjures images and is
very well made, artisanal
The musk is hardly worth mentioning; it just doesn’t like incense.
Cuddling isn’t really here
but otherwise, top-notch.
