If this is what Los Angeles smells like...
Then I don't want to go there. This was a disappointment, even though I was expecting it due to the ratings on Parfumo (6.1 at the time of this review).
Very strong, fresh, sharp menthol-like, camphorous beginning with some sickeningly sweet pineapple nectar. Smelled like pineapple-flavored medicinal product that you give to a kid who hates to take medicine. Eucalyptus and pineapple are the two main notes at the top. It starts morphing into florals accompanied by sickly sweet fruitiness from the top (thankfully the eucalyptus has slipped away). Tuberose is the strongest here with an animalic, bubblegum facet that is not my favorite thing. Paired with the pineapple and the narcissus, you get this slightly tropical feeling to the fragrance. Drydown is very candle-like synthetic, like one of those candles you'd get at Marshall or TJMax that says it smells like woods (without any details). There's some spiciness due to the juniper, but other than that it's all woods.
With subpar performance on my skin and an unusual scent that's not my cup of tea, this is definitely a nope. I suggest you try it out before blind-buying as this is not blind-buy safe. I'm starting to think Gallivant is not a house for me. Oh well, more savings to my wallet!
