Creamy white floral in a phallic bottle
Essence d'eau is one of those little known beauties with a price tag that defies its quality. Signature scent worthy for the right wearer, Essence is an alternative to the overdone & highly recognizable celeb sugars du jour.

Essence d'eau is a modern, warm, & creamy oriental, with an emphasis on floral, especially on the top. The orange blossom & jasmine open for me straight away - I don't catch fruit. The drydown is gorgeous, sweet & very sensual. Essence is very strong & somewhat heavy early on, but not very long lasting, imo. For me personally, Essence is a bit heavy on the jasmine (my skin amplifies jasmine) & bit tilted toward the feminine factor. It's SO not my thing, but it is SO beautiful and I DO appreciate it. It's perfect for date nights, which is why I have a bottle.

The bottle is a phallic, down to the plastic top. (Seriously, you've gotta see the top, looking down upon it. It's also phallic.) In addition, my bottle leaks a little, which ironically seems appropriate. The box - really lovely, covered in fabric (?) & simply beautiful. Overall, the quality of the product & package defies its price .

But the name? Essence of water? Water reduced to its essential character? It's far too sensual & sexy to be water. Both the juice and the falcon defy its name. This is a beautiful, sensual sweet fragrance that's only missing one thing ... a battery.

Hello Boys
A beautiful, creamy , golden floral, that reminds me of Poeme by Lancome. Very feminine and lasts on the skin all day. The bottle is a tad weird though! Not sure what they were thinking there, as this is a very ladylike fragrance!

Unique - until…
I have followed several discussions in several foras about the shape of the bottle. Fun and at some point a bit over the edge concerning people’s imagination. I am not sure I agree on all the suggestions made about what it looks like. But I am a fan of the unique shape.
At a certain point I started paying attention to the smell. This, however, is not unique. Maybe I am not skilled enough but I would be challenged if someone told me to smell the difference between Essence d’Eau - and Poême. I would not stand a chance.
This does not make it a scent I would not buy. It is great. Same depth and spicy ‘vocabulary’ as Poême. Beautiful and wearable.

Lucky Find
I am very glad that this fragrance is finally listed here.
I won it on eBay for a ridiculous price, thanks to positive comments in other forums and because I thought I might like the combination of the scent notes.

What a lucky find. I buy a lot blind, rarely miss the mark, but this is pretty much the best thing that has happened to me in blind purchases (besides Rochas Absolu, I must say).

Essence d'Eau starts fruity, I clearly smell the orange blossoms, accompanied by a delicate violet note. The heart note is heavily jasmine-focused, an intense, lush, sweet, honey-like jasmine, but bright and clear through the other flowers. The jasmine note lingers for a long time and then blends with the base, where vanilla and amber dominate.

Somehow the scent reminds me of Gaultier Classique (both the EDT and EDP, as strange as it may sound), but it is more translucent, floral, less loud, yet sweet and lush. In a way, it’s the summer version of Classique. However, it is not a quiet, cool scent; the name "Eau" is misleading, while the color of the bottle is excellently chosen.

Anyone who likes Classique and jasmine fragrances should definitely give this one a try.

Inappropriate
Inappropriate and absolutely inaccurate is only the name here.
So far, my remaining knowledge from the advanced French course is still enough. Water essence?!
Who on earth came up with that name? The name has as much to do with the scent as Serge Lutens does with Ed Hardy.

Well, thank God that's also the only flaw. I can live with that.
So how does this fragrance, presented in a radiant amber-colored bottle, smell?
Quite simply: Radiantly beautiful, floral, delicate, and extraordinary, oh simply heavenly!
Maya the Bee would be delighted. Honey in abundance. I don't even know exactly where this honey dominance comes from. Maybe it's the jasmine.

The fruits can only be faintly detected, but what really makes an impact are the base notes.
The scent has fantastic longevity on my skin with a very pleasant sillage.
The vanilla, the woody notes, and the amber perfectly capture the honey note and ensure that the fragrance remains prominent for several hours after spraying. It even becomes a bit softer and more enveloping. For example, it lingers on my scarf and in my hair for what feels like an eternity.

Today we have 2 degrees with radiant sunshine. And this morning I wrapped myself in an office-appropriate cozy sweater and immediately reached for Essence d'Eau. I was in the mood for something unusual, and this little water also puts me in a really good mood.

Dear boss, unfortunately, I can't work today because I have to keep sniffing my wrists and indulging in my daydreams.

I'm really sorry!

I'm off now.

"Buzz buzz," said the honey bee!

Pure femininity. Floral with a hint of spicy bitterness. Later becomes soft and velvety. Unfortunately, I don't know any alternative.
Love for ever
