Declutter Candidate
I like Drakkar Noir so blind bought a 50ml bottle of Drakkar Intense (at Walmart, no less lol). Opening was kinda funky but after it dried down it sorta smelled like very mild Drakkar Noir hidden under a suede scent. Wasn't very impressed with the scent, along with mediocre projection and longevity - intense it isn't. For me, Drakkar Intense is a declutter candidate.

A Modern Scent with The DNA of Original.
This is a Great Fragrance ! Soft Spicy, Smooth, Complex, Modern and Boozy. There is no boozy note in this perfume but It smells similar to Boozy Scent. Easy to wear and Easy to love, I tried it two years ago but I didn't buy it and it was on my radar. I bought it with reasonable price yesterday. It opens up with fresh spicy, green and herbal notes in the background then dry down is creamy green ambery and woody. I Really enjoy it and I'm so happy that I have it in my collection. It has the DNA of Original with touch of Modern style. Longevity is good.
Two Thumbs Up.
Bravo Guy Laroche !

Jack Of All Trades
As someone who loves Noir, my hopes were relatively high for this release, and thankfully, for everything it does for such a low price, it delivered more than I expected.

TOP NOTES
As I sprayed it for the first time, I felt overwhelmed with joy and smiled. I just knew I had scored an unbelievable fragrance, which reminded me of the good days in my fragrance journey. The opening has the distinctive bitterness of wormwood(aka absinthe) but is not off-putting; instead, it adds an intriguing depth that pulls me in. Shortly after, coriander joined the mix. Its spicy and faintly citrusy aroma added warmth, creating a seamless bridge between the bitter greenness of wormwood and the citrusy brightness that followed.

HEART NOTES
The first note to appear in the mid notes is lavender, a timeless part of men’s fragrances. Its crisp, aromatic nature imparts the scent a familiar and soothing quality. Following this, clary sage steps into the spotlight. This note introduces a grounded and slightly musky dimension that complements the lavender beautifully. The presence of the sage lends the fragrance a mature and self-assured aura.

BASE NOTES
The base notes bring warmth, sensuality, and depth to the fragrance, strikingly contrasting the aromatic freshness of the initial phases.

Vanilla and amber take centre stage in the base notes. The vanilla in Drakkar Intense is not excessively sweet or dessert-like; it is blended subtly and refinedly. It smooths out the sharper, earthier elements of the patchouli and suede, resulting in a well-balanced and harmonious dry down.

OVERALL
My journey with Drakkar Intense can be a lesson to all of us who love perfumes and enjoy their magical effects. On the one hand, they can be described as expensive scented water, but on the other hand, these scented elixirs create unforgettable memories that we cherish throughout our lives.

Classic but a little more than that
After a few years of being a perfume lover, I started to give fougeres a chance, and I like them more and more every day. For very little money I bought Drakkar Intense blindly, and although the first impression was not good, I gave it a couple of uses and ended up liking it more than expected. I interpret this formula in a very simple way: the classic fougere in a modern way. They added an amber sweetness to the classic green and lavender base, making it a very pleasant version. With very modest performance, you can spray it without fear, and if possible carry it in your purse or backpack to enjoy a boost as a few hours go by. Harmless, good for daily use almost all year round, or for summer nights.

Nostalgia
I grew up in the 80’s. Drakkar was my Junior and High School scent. I first got it from my Abuelo who also introduced me to Stetson, Old Spice, YSL Kouros. A friend had CK Obsession, another Cool Water. Then I got Joop for Christmas. So we all would use each others fragrances on date nights, dances, parties etc.

All those fragrances were beast mode. We didn’t even use that phrase because beast mode was the standard in the ‘80’s and early ‘90’s. At least till some Karen complained about moss making them break out with hives or something.

Now this to me is alright. I like it. But I don’t love it like I did the OG. I went away from those fragrances. I never thought to get extra bottles to last me for decades. If they actually upped the performance and made the “Intense” actually mean something I’d be rocking this everyday. Such a miss.

An amberry, spicy soapy frag. Similar to Azzaro Intense but nicer. This is good.

A simple, honest and nice smell on a budget. I would not wear it, it´s too generic, smells literally like anything else on the market.

A nice fresh fougère with absinth in the opening. Dries down to a vanilla-suede accord. The more i wear it, the more i like it. 3/5

I was undecided after the first wear but it has grown on me pretty quick. Not bad at all and dirt cheap. A more modernized version. 8/10.
