Nostalgia
When I was in grade school and before I was into fragrances, I only owned about two and this was one of them. It’s the classic smell of what Hollister smelled like in the early 2000’s. A pleasant yet nondescript citrus and wood fragrance. Does it smell bad? Absolutely not. It actually smells pretty nice. The issue is that it completely disappears after about 30 minutes to an hour. I know this is an Eau de Cologne concentration, so I never expected it to last more than a few hours. But in a few hours you’re not even going to be smelling like you were wearing anything with Jake.
The presentation for Jake is just fine. The bottle and atomizer are nothing special. Jake used to be in a brown bottle, but now it is in a blue bottle.
You can still find Jake on discounter websites for about $35. To be honest, that’s a tad pricey for what it is. If you could find it for under $20, I’d say go for it and just carry it around with you knowing you’re going to need to refresh it every hour and a half or so.
