Sunshine in a bottle!

I first had this fragrance about three years ago and, though I liked it, for some reason, I gave it away. However, three years later it kept crossing my mind because, as extensive as my massive collection is, nothing else smells quite like this one.
Now, the notes here are lacking the one called "Solar Notes" - a note that is very prominent here indeed. That note, combined with the fruits, meet to create what is to me "Sunshine in a Bottle". It's just glorious! So sweet, juicy from the fruit, and uplifting, Hollister Wave for Her is optimistic, youthful, bright, and beautiful. Light to moderate performance in all regards; right now in the US it's very inexpensive! If you enjoy sweet, fruity fragrances, then this is probably a safe blind-buy for you. I don't ever want to be without it again.

Hollister and I have a close backstory, as I experienced and participated in all the hype surrounding the store. But times and people change, and I actually thought I had gotten past that phase.

Apparently not.

My little sister recently brought a fragrance sample from a drugstore in one of those typical plastic bottle testers and handed it to me.

At first, I was a bit skeptical, but then I sprayed it on my wrist and was absolutely positively surprised. The scent instantly triggered memories of my vacation in France. During one of our outings, we stumbled upon a tiny, empty cove by chance. Probably the reason it was so quiet was that it was extremely rocky and overgrown with wild orchids. Anyway, I remember sitting on one of those rocks for a while, just watching the sea, and suddenly the scent from back then came flooding back to me. A sweet floral note, accompanied by the fresh, almost salty scent of the water.

Long story short. After some searching, I managed to purchase the perfume. And I love it. When I wear it, I feel like I’m stepping out of the shower after a day at the beach, ready to relax with friends. The scent conveys to me an image of freedom, self-confidence, and ease, a laid-back attitude towards life that cannot be spoiled by anything.

It’s perfect for summer, but I strongly doubt I’ll wear it in winter.

Otherwise, the scent lasts an eternity on me. Normally, I apply a couple of sprays in the morning and refresh it again in the afternoon. The sillage is very strong at first, but fades after a short time and can then be sniffed from about half a meter away. At first, you always smell the sweetness, and I think I can smell the jasmine and hibiscus the strongest; the subsequent
woody notes give me a feeling of the end of the workday and that sense of calm. The combination makes the perfume feel feminine and cheerful.

Hollister, hello again, I’m off to refill my supplies :)

Carefree Times

When I recently went to the drugstore, all the saleswomen in the perfume department were wearing T-shirts with the print "WAVE Hollister".

Of course, I immediately looked for the brand new fragrance and quickly found it.

Hm, what can I say? At first sniff, it spontaneously reminded me of "Cool Water" by Davidoff.
- Not at all my scent direction.
Annoyed that I now had this stink bomb on my skin, I finished my shopping.

However, I kept smelling it on my skin. The scent changed very positively.
- A summer fragrance - but not of the fruity kind, no, rather warm.

I can't say it developed into a "wow fragrance," but it became increasingly pleasant.
Somehow it reminded me of the time when I first went on vacation alone without my parents. I was 16 and got to go to Corsica with two friends and their parents.
The three of us sat alone on the beach in the evenings, discussing everything that 16-year-old girls talk about.
Fashion, recent parties, girlfriends, and of course boys.
This scent reminds me exactly of that moment.
The wind in my hair, the sound of the waves in the background, and the soft sand beneath us. We enjoyed the moment carefree and dreamed with big and only positive expectations for the future.

I believe Hollister wants to stay true to its fashion style and the clients it appeals to with this fragrance. - Young, sporty, carefree.

I will buy this fragrance as a little surprise for my oldest daughter. She is almost at that age, and I believe she might like it.
Then, when I take another dreamy trip down memory lane to my beautiful carefree teenage years, I will take a few spritzes from this bottle with me.
