So Much Lavender!

Like it's name, Paper Soap definitely smells soapy. But it's a lot more floral than I expected. Imagine a Dove soap bar soaked in lavender oil. Seriously, the lavender is STRONG. I don't really smell any of the other floral notes. This scent also reminds me slightly of dryer sheets.

Definitely don't buy this scent if you don't like lavender-- this really does smell like a lavender-soap bomb. And yes, I mean BOMB, because it projects really well! A lot better than I expected, honestly. The longevity is just okay.

The ultimate soap fragrance

This fragrance does exactly what it sets out to do—if someone were to tell me they wanted to smell just like a bar of Dove Soap, this is precisely where I would point them. This is a safe blind buy for people looking for exactly that. Personally, I want something a little more out of a fragrance, something to take it over the top. But as someone who loves clean fragrances, it’s certainly not a fragrance I would be disappointed to receive as a gift.

The projection, too, surprised me. I got this with a bunch of 20-something sample vials from different brands. Paper Soap, much to my surprise, had the best projection of the whole lot. Definitely makes it great value for the money in my opinion.

As soapy as soap can get

When it comes to 'soap', J-scent really nailed it! I have- and had quite some soapy scents, but this really is asif your bar of soap acts like perfume.
I find it hard to decide if I want a bottle because
A: it's the wrong season for it maybe.
B: this is perfect for the gym, only problem is: I don't do gym (I should, I know :-)).
It doesn't remind me of washing powder or dryer sheets; it really is clean skin, but maybe a bit too clean? I miss a little sweetness from powder or cream or from the warmth of skin. I do like it though for not being too musky like many 'clean' scents can be.
I get the 'Dove' vibe, but was hoping for the smell of the white Dove bar, the way it smelled in the past. Dove used to smell a bit more perfume-y in the past, my skin couldn't handle it then because of an allergic reaction; now I can handle it, but the smell has been changed a bit.
It does have these 'fatty' aldehydes as in vintage Estēe (1968) Super Cologne but misses the champagne-like feel of that scent.
Projection and longevity are really impressive: I smell it the morning after and it hasn't become a 'skin-scent'. This is linear, but I think - in this case- it should be.

I will keep my sample and try it next summer. Could well be I will love it then. I think it will really cut through the heat.
In any case: Thumps up for J-Scent creating THE soapy scent!

Edit: I'm really starting to like this, just not for a whole day...

Wow, soap.

It smells exactly like paper soap, no surprise there. It's kinda a feminine smell, but you really can't go wrong with a light smell of soap. Overall really refreshing and nice, makes me feel like summer. It reminds me of a memory of being in school with a girl who always smelled really fresh like this scent, so hopefully you'll wear this and make a strong nice impression on others too!

The fragrance of cleanliness.

The fragrance of cleanliness.
Oh yes, this fragrance is airy, sparkling, at times bitter in its very impactful opening, but then it tends to calm down and bring out a light floral side, always keeping the aldehydic notes in the background.
The image that comes to mind is that of a light-hearted run in the country between clean sheets, one of those smells that irremediably smells of simplicity, of childhood, of mums.
Of carefree times that were full of these aromas, simple but which remain in everyone's mind.
If it could be described with a colour, this fragrance would be white, candid, without a stain.
It performs wonderfully in spring.
