Lovely, smooth skin scent for cougars, not kittens,

Jacomo for Her is lovely & smooth albeit a bit uneven. It's very strong to start, but settling down in 20 minutes or so.

It's a modern rose chypre along the lines of Gres Cabaret. However, unlike Cabaret, JfH is has a bit of dirtiness and grumbling underneath. It is also not as clear and clean as Cabaret. JfH's rose is noticeable to me, but so is the ylang-ylang. The heliotrope is soft and not overly powdery. No single base note dominates on me, although several are listed. Lasts a good long time - at least 6 hours.

The bottle is quite nice & substantial. It's a bit of a 'come hither' fragrance, and the box & print ads are fitting for the contents. It would not be a stretch to say that JfH could be in the Agent Provacateur family. In fact, I find JfH very similar to AP Maitresse, and JfH would be an affordable substitute for Maitresse for those pinched for pennies. I bought my bottle of JfH for about 20 bux shipped.

I like JfH a lot. Alot. It strikes me as a skin scent for cougars, not kittens. It's quite good and worthy of sampling. A well-known online discounter has testers for 13 bucks. Don't be afraid to pull the trigger on this one. Well-done.

Muddy, Muggy Floriental

I've given the house of Jacomo a few tries, always in the hopes that it might prove to be as bizarre yet worthy as that of Balmain, which for some inscrutable reason offers bona fide perfumes at bargain bin prices. In fact, with each Jacomo encounter, my hopes have been dashed, and JACOMO FOR HER is no exception to the rule. This mild, muddy floriental with a relatively declarative patchouli note does not commit the sin of sour synthetic sandalwood perfumes, nor is it too sweet. The lily-of-the-valley note, too, is not the horrific one found in Coty's ghastly reformulation of MUGUET DES BOIS.

Instead, the problem I find with JACOMO FOR HER is that it is simply too vague, the same problem I have with PARADOX, which I've tried to like but in the end feel is, again, simply too foggy for my tastes. I prefer crisp clean lines or thick assertive orientals, and with the creations of the house of Jacomo, I always feel that the presentation of even notes that I usually love has been muted somehow. This smells to me how even a fine perfume might seem to someone who is totally zoned out on sedatives. JACOMO FOR HER is certainly wearable enough, but it's not a creation that I'd reach for before, say, dozens—or even hundreds—of other perfumes. I just find it too wishy washy, in the end. Désolée.

Fresh-bright office scent....

...that a woman can't go wrong with. I won it for a small amount on eBay and had no idea what to expect. My expectations weren't too high; until then, I only knew one women's fragrance from JACOMO, namely "Silences," which I liked very much. Jacomo for her reminds me a little bit of the Oscar de la Renta scents... they are also pleasant, never sickly sweet, not a huge revelation, but you can't go wrong with them either. At the beginning, a beautiful juicy bergamot opens the fragrance, wrapping around my nose, a bit tart, very pleasant, it reminds you of summer and bright light over wide fields, you want to go out into nature and simply enjoy the warmth on your skin. This Jacomo also embodies something fresh, pure, without coming across as too proper or even one-dimensionally boring. In the heart, wonderful ylang-ylang unfolds, which I appreciate, with a hint of rose... however, the hawthorn unfortunately does not reveal itself to me, what a pity! It becomes a little powdery, but subtle, it always stays close to the body, and I can't imagine that you could overapply this scent. After about an hour, a beautiful mixture of cedar and sandalwood remains, accompanying me for a long time..... a fragrance that is, for example, perfect for the office life of a confident lady!
