Classic 80s with a New Character
Since I had a voucher from a well-known perfume retailer, I thought to myself, why not try a blind buy? It shouldn't be too expensive and something for everyday use. Not too loud, not too intrusive.
Found what I was looking for. I checked reviews and fragrance notes, and since I'm an old-school fan of movies and music, I thought this scent could be it.

About the scent: as expected, it starts off citrusy and minty like an old man's perfume but somehow feels modern. This presence fades within the first 10-20 minutes, revealing a woody vanilla (not overly sweet) that is very pleasant to wear. Maybe even leaning towards woodruff/woody.

Sillage is corrected; I think it lasts about 5-7 hours.

A versatile option for those who want to escape the niche segment for a bit but end up back in it anyway.

A perfect everyday classic of the future.

Blacker than the night allows, dive into the minty darkness!
The good old Jacomo has once again concocted a fragrance that has the makings of a magical elixir. If it's dark, then it should be done right! And with a wonderfully "quirky addition"... a green mint that spices up the entire scent niche and flashes throughout the entire progression. A green beam of light in a woody-smoky night.
And with bitter floral notes that unite with herbal lavender and "fat" cardamom. Who has ever smelled something like this?!?
Even the fantastic vintage "Jacomo de Jacomo (1980) (Eau de Toilette) | Jacomo," which serves as the "template," would be quite astonished at what else is possible! The basic structure of this is already similar to the "new" one, but the projection is quite different. However, this is meant very positively. While the "great-grandfather" was already dark (with cloves combined with dark woods and more), the new one is truly "raven black" with very good longevity and a striking sillage, CLASSIC work!

Related to a Legend.
Before the purchase, a question haunted my mind.
"What should I expect when Jacomo launches a new fragrance??"
Well, good question!!
But when a friend called me during his trip to France and asked if I was interested in the new Jacomo de Jacomo, I pushed the question aside, and three days later, the fragrance was mine.
The bottle is really beautiful with its tattoos and is definitely an eye-catcher.

Then came the big moment, and the first spray left the bottle.
Lemon pushes forward, followed by a fresh, very pleasant mint.
The mint becomes finer and merges with the lavender and the cyclamen, but it doesn't fall into the barbershop category.
Like a finely woven break, an amber note follows that is not sweet but woody.
Clearly, amber wood is also listed in the pyramid.
I don't detect the vanilla at all; the tonka bean and a small breeze of almost sweet incense join in.
This must be the combination of incense and amber wood that lasts for a long time.
The performance is in the upper third, not intrusive but always present.

Well, Jacomo, welcome to the family.
Now you have your place between the vintage Jacomo de Jacomo legend and the good Jacomo for Men Intense.

Has nothing in common with the brutal classic in the same bottle, but is still good: lavender, green spice, wood, tonka, sweet base.

I can't understand why this has such a high rating. It's exhausting with a headache note. Stick to the original, that's really good!

Subtle spice from dried herbs, discreet leather, nothing stands out, compact and elegant. Beautiful flanker.
