A Mellow Yellow Fellow that does not Bellow
Not too sure about this one as it is probably the mildest smelling Arabian style perfume I have tried. Perhaps it will work better in the summer but right now it is rather too soft for my liking.
Other than that it has a sweet, very, very slightly medicinal, soft fruity apricot opening. A little yellow green, dry, hay like. A couple of hours in it has a warm leather smell on my skin with a little woods and florals. A soft vanilla runs through the whole wear but is tame and not sweetened although the perfume as a whole is rather sweet. I find it musky in a smooth way i.e. not laundry like although there is a little soapyness to it.
It smells ok but overall the perfume lacks strength and projection, and doesn't leave much of a trail at all. To get anything out of it I have to apply to my abdomen which is much warmer than my forearms where I usually apply perfume. Definitely one for the warmer weather I think.
This must be one of the cheaper Rasasi offerings (£10.34 including postage) as the gold parts on the bottle are plastic. The bottle is a nice frosted glass and the dipping stick in the lid works well. The bottle comes perched on a gold plastic stand and is covered with a plastic dome like those Victorian Terrariums.
