Valor Mystique Khadlaj 2024

Oud Wood Eau de Parfum is simply love for me.
A fragrance that I truly appreciate and have never gotten enough of over the years.
Unfortunately, the price is quite high, especially considering how poor the performance is.
That's why I've been looking for alternatives for a while now.
Some were better, others worse.
Until I came across "Valor Mystique | Khadlaj / خدلج".
For me, THIS is the ultimate Oud Wood dupe.
Strange that almost no one talks about it.
What you get here for a small amount of money is unbelievable.

About the scent :
The opening is slightly alcoholic, but that fades quickly.
You can immediately tell that this is a dupe of Oud Wood.
I smell exactly the same cardamom note as in OW.
Fresh, spicy, masculine, there are subtle differences to the original, but in the air, I couldn't distinguish between the two.

Although no oud is listed, I also smell that slightly medicinal, fresh oud note here, for which OW is so well known.
It becomes slightly warmer and woodier later on due to the amber and woody notes.
Until the end, it remains a beautiful Oud Wood dupe.
There is no twist or anything like that here.
You get exactly what you expect.

Performance :
Unfortunately, it's not a strong performer, a bit stronger than the original, but you still need to apply a bit more to stand out.
Longevity on my skin is about 6 hours.
On clothing, 2 days.
Sillage and projection are good in the first hour, then rather moderate, and after the 3rd to 4th hour, rather weak.
Of course, the scent needs to mature first.
The perfume is still very new, and among Arabs, they know that it takes time.

When and where and for whom?
Just like OW, it's more of a men's fragrance.
One that is very mass-appealing; you can wear it almost for any occasion and in any season.
Perfect for work or going out.
I can even imagine it being good for sports, although there are certainly better scents for that.

My conclusion :
If Oud Wood is too expensive for you, or if you own a bottle and want to save on the pricey juice, you should definitely give this one a try.
For just over €28, you can spray yourself generously without your soul suffering xD
I definitely recommend buying it.
