Flowers Conquer the Bumps
“The Flowers of Krizia” were also in my box of established classics, although one must put that in serious exclamation marks considering its rarity. Because unlike several other perfumes in this rare selection, this Krizia scent is hardly mourned. Yet bad scents smell quite different. Perhaps it was a bit too round and inconspicuous for success and fans. Maybe also too fussy and mossy for some ladies. It is far from a men’s fragrance. Surprising with “Flowers” in the title.
With “K de Krizia” or “Krizia Uomo,” the company built a truly soapy-juicy reputation, especially in the 80s, creating smaller classics that still have devoted fan bases today. “Fiori di Krizia” never achieved that - which, of course, doesn’t mean it stinks when you press the spray head. Quite the opposite. There are soapy powerhouse undertones here as well, but they are more floral and milder than one might expect. “Basil flower” could be what you call it - a bit of kitchen, a bit of front yard, a bit of forest, a bit of shower. Not bad, not quite. A delicate lady’s mustache. Okay, unfortunately never again for me. It lacks pep, it lacks character. It doesn’t hurt anyone, it’s a bit sluggish.
Bottle: still completely committed to the 80s
Sillage: medium
Longevity: 7 hours - spicy floralness
Conclusion: the austere, old-school floral school, slightly softened and understandably unknown. Not great, not necessarily my taste - but I can fully respect it!
