Spicy-creamy mix

Strong ginger top-notes - the ginger lingers on in the heart, but then gives way to a spicy-creamy mixture very much in the style of Montana "Just Me". I'd strongly recommend "My Africa" as an alternative to the Montana-scent (which is no longer in production). Excellent staying-power included.

Between Sharp and Sweet

I don't necessarily associate this scent with Africa, but rather with Asia.
Nevertheless, the packaging and the pretty bottle remind me of the African novels I enjoy reading, whose covers often feature the orange-red sky with the sun.

My Africa is a ginger scent, just as it should be. Ginger is always present, from start to finish, and I find it to be a very authentic ginger.
It begins with its sharpness, finely underlaid with sweetened lemon.
This top note lasts quite a long time and becomes softer when heliotrope comes into play. The jasmine, in my opinion, comes in even later and complements the rather fruity scent with a fine dark-sweet floral note.
Still, this is not a purely fruity-floral scent; it is too different for that. The ginger gives it a rather strong spiciness.
I'm having a bit of trouble describing this scent properly. I want others to be able to imagine something from it..

Amber joins in the base, and the scent becomes warmer, but it retains its soft, sweet, and still sharp nuance.
For me, it is a very unusual scent combination, for which one should like ginger.
The sillage is not excessive, but still sufficient and very beautiful.
