Pssst, who wants to sniff?
Hello folks, welcome to my latest review. Today it's about Hash Intense by LPDO. Well,… Hash or Cannabis then. Something that is not particularly favored by lawmakers and yet seems to be known or at least tried by many :D

Especially during school and/or university, you often come into contact with it, whether you try it yourself, enjoy consuming it, or simply walk through clouds of smoke with the distinctive scent when someone nearby has rolled something to smoke :D

Either way, this scent is usually unmistakable and therefore quickly identifiable. However, I often had my difficulties with scents, but fragrances are not supposed to smell like grass, but presumably like the "essential oils" of the plants, which probably smell a little different, right? Be that as it may, regardless of whether one enjoys consuming such things or prefers to stick with perfumes, I think both bring a lot of joy and fun to people, which would also explain why people here on Parfumo have this scent from this brand the most in their possession, if I’m not mistaken :DDD

So then, let’s consume… uh he he, let’s sniff away!

The scent:
So, the scent starts with… well, what is it really? It’s a peculiar note, but I’m not sure if it actually smells like cannabis. To me, the top note smells like a mix of cough syrup and camphor, which is also a medicinal-scented note and somewhat reminiscent of eucalyptus.
A little later, the scent remains as described, but it becomes a bit softer, which might be due to the indicated resins. In the background, there are woods, but they still have a rather weak scent.
Only after a little while do the woods become a bit more intense, and then you gradually start to smell the oud. And those are basically the main scent notes that remain until the end, as you can best smell the oud in the base. Along with a bit of incense. Tobacco could be perceived a little in between, but I couldn't find any coffee at all.
The scent is quite okay, but for me, somehow in the end, nothing special, because it mainly smells like oud.

The sillage and longevity:
The sillage is… peculiar. You could easily overdo it with the application here. Because it’s one of those scents that somehow doesn’t come across as particularly strong from the start, but others could smell the scent quite quickly from the other end of the room. Therefore, the sillage is good and also stronger than one might think.
The longevity is also good, it remains pleasantly noticeable on the skin for about eight to ten hours.

The bottle:
The bottle is covered with a checkered pattern embedded in the glass, with the individual rectangles of the pattern alternating between raised and recessed, creating a great look and surely also a nice feel. The label is black and has been placed on a depression, the cap is cylindrical and gold-plated. A beautiful bottle.

Conclusion:
So… first of all: If anyone hoped that this scent would have an intense hash or cannabis note like one might know from various smoke clouds, then I must disappoint you, as the scent did not smell like that to me at all. As I said, you smell a more medicinally reminiscent plant, and no, that is certainly not the scent of the so-called "medical cannabis prescriptions" :D
Presumably, you smell the essential oils of the plants themselves, but they smell, as mentioned, like a mix of camphor, eucalyptus, and slightly sweet cough syrup.

Overall, the scent doesn’t smell too bad; you just shouldn’t have any false expectations, at least in my opinion. It could also be that I’ve forgotten what cannabis smelled like after all this time, as I never really consumed it and only knew it from smoking classmates nearby :D
But as I said, the scent is okay, but it’s not a knockout and certainly nothing novel. In the end, it smells a lot like woods like oud, and that’s about it.

The scent is neither fresh nor really heavy, although it might lean a bit more towards autumn. Therefore, I would say that the scent is especially suitable as a daytime fragrance or rather for leisure in spring and autumn.

By the way, I still need to say a few short sentences about the fragrance liquid. I don’t know if it was due to my sample or if the fragrance liquid is indeed that extremely dark, but when spraying, I actually had dark spots on my skin, as if ink had spilled on my arm, of course not quite that extreme, but you could definitely see the sprayers quite well. So… if it’s not due to the sample and this is really the case, then I would especially be careful not to spray it on clothing.

Well, and that’s it again. I wish you all a nice evening, see you next time.

Blacky, is that you?
The top note of Hash Intense may evoke some memories for certain individuals :-)

Our dear perfumer "Elbchen" sent me her sample, giving me the opportunity to test this fragrance, for which I would like to express my sincere thanks.

Unfortunately, I couldn't sniff out the green notes and the cannabis, although I must say that I have been able to detect cannabis before, but not in the way you might wish or imagine.

Hash Intense starts off like old bong water :-)

Anyone who has used these "vases" for consuming certain herbs and has changed the water in between will definitely recognize it right away! :-)

For the other readers who have no experience with this (after all, one doesn't have to know everything), there is a way to somewhat imitate this smell:

Take a full ashtray, pour hot water over it, and you have to imagine an unpleasantly deep oily - resinous consistency to go along with this smell.

The old bong water can be detected on my skin for about 15 minutes before the heart note makes its presence known.

This becomes very spicy thanks to the sandalwood, but also slightly creamy.

I also perceive a very delicate velvety - woody aura, where I suspect cedarwood, which blends very well with the sandalwood.

And you can also detect a very nice balsamic - resinous, sweet - spicy note that comes from elemi resin and gives the fragrance a somewhat mystical quality.

There is also a subtle smokiness that can be detected, attributed to tobacco, but it has been used in such a way that the elemi resin is slightly enhanced.

Far in the background, you can perceive a slightly bitter, somewhat angular note, which I attribute to coffee, and it arranges wonderfully with the other notes.

Hash Intense does remind me quite a bit of Black Afgano, although I must mention that the fragrance lacks the potency of Black Afgano, but it is indeed a very pleasant scent to wear.

The heart note can be detected on my skin for 5 hours before the base takes over.

Thanks to the frankincense, the base becomes balsamic - resinous, sweet, accompanied by a somewhat mystical - woody, very slightly smoky note that comes from oud and provides a very nice finish.

Overall, the fragrance can be detected on my skin for 8.5 hours.

The sillage is designed from the start to be clearly noticeable at arm's length, and this is maintained for 3.5 hours before it gradually reduces until the fragrance finally fades completely.

Come to the dark side of the force
OK, let's get started. I haven't written many comments here, more like statements, but this fragrance deserves it. I know the brand LPDO through "Cretus". I never looked at their other scents. At some point, I was shopping again and of course, a visit to a perfume store was a must. This time, I was introduced to Nasomatto "Black Afgano". I found it great. More on that soon, but on the side. By chance, I stumbled upon Hash Intense because it was supposed to smell similar. I ordered a sample from Kitho (thank you so much, noma). I had to order it right away.
The bottle looks a bit cheap and the spray head, well, let's just say not much value was placed on it.
When I first sprayed it, I was prepared for a heavy encounter with the dark matter. That wasn't the case. Which is not a bad thing. Black Afgano bites in the first second in the nose. Hash Intense also has power but comes across much softer. A crazy dark unknown note and a little green. Also unknown. It could be something floral, but nothing rosy. Very faint in the background. The dark aspect is present the whole time and smells amazing. I can clearly detect resin and something woody. Then the incense and oud come forward. Smells really good.
Everything fits super well together; it smells strong and intense but not in a way that you can't handle it. On the contrary, you find yourself sniffing it constantly with every breath. Black Afgano was great, no question about it, but I find Hash Intense incredibly awesome and a bit better. Plus, the price-performance ratio is fantastic. A bargain....
The longevity is very strong. A bit better than good. I would give Black Afgano a 9.5 and Hash Intense an 8.5.... Sillage is good, and you are well noticed when you enter a room. On the arm, it is present the whole time.
You can't go wrong if you're looking for an oud fragrance that not everyone has. There are many oud fragrances at the moment that are quite similar. But I haven't encountered one like this before. So, thumbs up!

Experience your "blue wonder"...
....because the scent is quite sophisticated!!

This applies not only to the composition of its ingredients but also to its external appearance.
And especially with the bottle, the finesse lies in the details.
It is sooo AZURE BLUE and with its small-scale high-low patterns, in which the light refracts, so "aquatic" in appearance that every observer must believe it is an olfactory sea breeze that far surpasses that of "Cool Water".
But this is a pure deception maneuver by the bottle designer.
And the content is initially laughing at a huge sailing ship of the type "Gorch Fock".
Once sprayed, a completely different scent concept reveals itself, which does not match the external appearance at all and initially causes surprise.
The only thing that somehow reminds one of "sea" in "Hash Intense" is the fact that its fragrance materials can be transported from distant lands by ship...
Coffee from South America, which scatters its fresh beans in the "top note", tobacco from Cuba, which unites with precious woods from Asia, and finally cannabis with its smoky-grassy notes, which is shipped in from the Middle East.
A noble-dark scent that goes deep. But not into the depths of the sea, but into mysterious realms between the myths of Native Americans and those from Oriental legends and fairy tales.
A long-lasting woody-smoky-grassy-bitter "pull" that spreads a mysterious "aura" around the wearer.
"Hash Intense" is more of a "linear" scent without pronounced top, heart, and base notes.
It rather shifts within itself and releases different impressions depending on the temperature or mood of the user.
Honestly sophisticated!!!
So don't be fooled by the wonderful sea blue of the bottle.......!!!

Clickbait
In this fragrance, the name "Hash" is included. Many associate this with the (cannabis smell that some smoke). But I assure you, there is nothing to be heard of this mentioned scent here. I think "Clickbait" (basically just empty promises) is used to encourage purchases.

Those searching for that joint smell will have to look further in fragrance forums, and they will surely find it.

About the scent:
I would classify this in the nutty-creamy-incense category.
Very subtle. It gets boring very quickly and one has had enough of it.

You quickly get tired of the scent.
A smell that you know from somewhere, which has always been inconspicuous.

I once sprayed it 30 times xD, so not a hint of weed.

For those who like nutty-creamy scents, a sniff test might be worthwhile.
I would not buy a whole bottle of this.

The perfume seller's shop is in Cologne,
Dom-Platz about 200 meters away
SF Perfume History GmbH,

Better to test before buying.

It's a nice scent, but I have to overspray. And when I say overspray, I mean overspray!

What doesn't convince with Black Afghano doesn't convince here either: a rough, blunt wood scent that can impress briefly but then wears off.
