A Fall Fragrance
Sexuel starts off fruity - aromatic, slightly floral, but also spicy - musty.
Our dear perfumer "Elbchen" provided me with a sample to test this fragrance, for which I would like to express my sincere thanks.
First, one can sniff out the red berries, which bring with them a fruity characteristic that is not quite pleasant for me, as it unfortunately stings quite a bit in my nose.
The Egyptian geranium comes across slightly floral and tries to keep the stinging component of the red berries somewhat in check, but it doesn't quite succeed.
There is also an aromatic sweetness perceptible, stemming from the forest berries, which blends quite well with the peach.
However, the top note is overshadowed by something spicy - musty, which I personally cannot explain at all and unfortunately leaves me a bit puzzled.
This constellation can be detected on my skin for 20 minutes before the heart note unfolds.
The heart note is pleasantly floral - opulent, thanks to the Turkish rose.
There is also something leaf-like, very slightly floral, which comes from the French violet and nicely covers the Turkish rose without pushing it too much into the background.
And yet, there is also a lovely - floral note perceptible, attributed to the Egyptian jasmine, which is responsible for lifting the components of the heart note into the air.
The heart note is underlined by something very pleasantly earthy - spicy, which can only be the Indonesian patchouli, and I suspect that the patchouli is already detectable in the top note and is responsible for its spicy - musty appearance, but I am not entirely sure about that.
Sexuel is a floral - earthy - spicy fragrance that I can really imagine well in the fall.
The heart note can be detected on my skin for 5 hours before the base takes over.
Thanks to the white musk, the base becomes very clear and also clean, without reminding one of freshly washed laundry.
There is also a very pleasant ethereal - woody nuance, which in this case comes from the French pine.
And yet, there is also a balsamic - resinous, slightly sweet facet to be sniffed out, which is due to the amber.
Unfortunately, I could not detect anything from the Madagascar vanilla, but I can imagine that it was only used to underline the other notes of the base.
Overall, the fragrance can be detected on my skin for 8 hours.
The sillage is designed from the beginning to be perceived very clearly at arm's length, and this is maintained for 3.5 hours before it gradually reduces until the fragrance finally fades away completely.
