As different as individuals are, so different are the scent associations, one could say. With "Wald," the fragrance has absolutely nothing in common for me, even less with a night walk through the woods, as the name suggests. In the opening, I perceive an intense, almost overwhelming soapiness; rose and geranium are so intensely intertwined that together they form a thicket that is nearly impenetrable, everything behind it fades into the background. A detergent-like soapiness that shapes the scent's development, you either like it or find it repulsive, there is nothing in between. I think the fragrance polarizes, it is not everybody's darling. Instead of a night walk in the woods, one should rather prepare for a day in the laundry room, otherwise disappointment might set in.
Nevertheless, a well-made fragrance, with astonishing longevity and sillage, becoming increasingly pleasant and calm in the drydown. For the price, it is a very decent performance, and that must be emphasized. For me personally, due to the overwhelming, one-dimensional soapiness - unfortunately not.

Pleasant Fragrance

Bois Nuit starts fruity - sweet.

Our dear perfumer "Elbchen" sent me her sample, giving me the opportunity to test this scent, for which I would like to express my sincere thanks.

A very ripe, but not overripe purple plum can be sniffed, which also has very viscous fruity characteristics; it also possesses a decent amount of sweetness without drifting into stickiness, and one almost feels like there is a freshly cut one lying in front of them.

The plum can be detected on my skin for 20 minutes before the heart note unfolds.

A beautiful, full, and creamy - floral geranium can now be sniffed, which receives a pleasant depth from the patchouli leaf.

The patchouli leaf has very subtle and gentle spicy - earthy tones that wonderfully underscore the geranium.

Bois Nuit is a floral - creamy - spicy companion that, in my opinion, can be worn at any time of day to simply feel pleasantly scented.

The heart note can be detected for a good 5 hours on my skin before the base takes over.

And something happens that I personally, as a man, quite like; I smell burnt and still slightly smoking car tires, and my research has shown that this can indeed come from the teak wood, which, however, disappears within 10 minutes.

What remains is something very clean and also clear, quite subtly creamy, which can only be white musk.

In the background, amber acts with its very pleasant balsamic - smoky - sweet nuance, which provides a nice finish.

Overall, the scent can be detected on my skin for 10 hours.

The sillage is designed from the beginning to be clearly perceived at arm's length, and this is maintained for 3.5 hours before it gradually diminishes until the scent finally fades completely.
