A very shy love in the Eternal City
Finally I tested it. After many months it appeared on the shelves of my favourite drugstores of my town and I was so curious to smell how it could be the latest creation by the Biagiotti brand after Laura's Death.
Well, I was expecting nothing special and it was exactly so.
A little preface about the weird name: AMOR(poetic italian word for love) is the exactly reverse form of ROMA , so the play on words could remind to the morst romantic face of the Eternal city.
Somebody could imagine a passionate and rich scent , or at least a so flowery and romantic bouquet representing the love in the Italian capital. Not at all. In this dejà vue column-shaped bottle there's a very "shy" scent , although in the pyramid appear warm and deep notes such as the patchouli and the Cashmere wood.
What I smelled at the first spray was a ghost of a light flowery note and nothing more. There's no "main actor" in this composition, there's no base lasting on the skin. Maybe it's me, but I remarked the same spraying the scent on the mouillette too and keeping it for hours in my bag hoping to smell something else .
Anyway, it is the perfect fragrance to wear when you only need to smell good and clean or , for example, in the hottest days. Surely it isn't a fragrance to wear with heavy clothes , wool and fur, because the sillage is quite weak, but it could result pleasant sprayed on light summer dresses.
the price is quite high in comparison with the longevity of the perfume, but if you are a Biagiotti 's fan, just try and decide...I think that this love story in Rome is too short and shy !

Powdery-sweet is my form of the day...
Boy, it's got all the mainstream in it, I thought at first when I read the notes.
When I first tested it, I thought there was something in the fragrance that made me like it.

The second time I tested it, I got an Angel vibe and said to myself, if you have this one, you don't need the other one.

But that was deceptive. The berries open sweetly and the grapefruit reminds you of the original.
Wait a moment and magnolia, orange blossom and jasmine enter the room, blending unexpectedly harmoniously with the first impression and complementing it very finely.

It is this melange that keeps me sniffing, is there something else hiding there? It becomes creamy and powdery and lingers for a long time.
Only later do I notice a fine vanilla woodiness, embraced by a soft patch.

As always and with everything, you can't argue about tastes, what some people like makes others turn away in disgust.

A judgment is quickly made. I like to keep the options open.

Powdery-sweet is my form of the day.

Roma Moja - "My Rome", mi amor!
Welcome to a new episode of "4ajbukoshka and the Italian".
Some people will roll their eyes now, others will probably sigh sympathetically, but what they all have in common is that they don't know that the "new" episode is an old one, a flashback, so to speak.

"The eternal city is the perfect stage for great love stories. How does yours continue?" reads Roma's (or Romamor's) scent description.
Today we start but once the other way around, with the bottle: Miss still-hopeless-and-five-ever-faliiieeept had to find on the search for this treasure, that the thing is not at all as she thought.
For her, the perfume was called "Roma моя" (Roma Moja) to this day - yes, she had read it exactly as it was finally written on the bottle and therefore christened the fragrance "My Rome". Who reads Cyrillic out of habit, namely, does not come directly to the fact that it is here mirrored letters, at least not Miss 4ajbukoshka, who floats with her head as always in the clouds and would certainly leave it somewhere, had it not grown.
Rome then. 4ajbukoshka, the non-Italian mistaken for an Italian with a soft spot for Roman architecture, stories of the gods and an aversion to spaghetti has actually been to Italy, all by herself with a military backpack from the former Soviet Union. She's eaten prickly pears in the wild in (southern) Italy and even celebrated Feragosto, but she's never been to Rome itself.
She knows it only from pictures, stories and of course the ancient remains in her favorite city in Germany, which is why she has a very unique image of this city.
But now to the story:
"My Rome" was until recently part of her roommate's fragrance collection - and as it is in girls' shared flatshares, you share not only the contents of the fridge and the clothes (especially on dates, there must be something new) sometimes the one or other cosmetic product.

So also today. We write the 21st September 2020.
A slightly annoyed 4ajbukoshka jumps, after she has about 1 1/2 hours before her date still quickly shopped, watermelon cut, other fruit washed, wraps made, more stuff in salad chopped, the picnic blanket searched and everything packed, as if stung by the tarantula through the apartment, in the shower ("without hair", there's no time for that anymore) and out again, asks umpteen people what she should wear and then decides in the end for a simple, tight, black jersey dress with a dark red ethnic pattern on the neckline, her bordeaux pilot jacket that matches in color but not so much in style and semi-transparent black tights with black Vans. She never normally wears that much black. And anyway, her date outfit is an absolute understatement. She had put more effort into her outfits during "chance" encounters with the Italian.
From her roommate, however, she earns high praise for it ("Black is such a happy color! Me gusta!" she exclaims, beaming with joy), but she's not quite convinced yet, as she puts on the heavy bag and puts up with two sprays of "My Rome" - because it just fits the theme so well.
4ajbukoshka's first date with an Italian, and her first with a Laura Biagotti. Relative to both, it wouldn't be the last time, but 4ajbukoshka doesn't suspect that yet.
For time management reasons, there wasn't even enough time for her to get her hair done. So today no romance, but the 08/15 high ponytail with the terribly frizzy curls that two braids do not get tamed.
This could be something...
And it WILL be something.
It will be a picnic on the shore, Signor contributes the scented candle and the Apérol Spritz.
It will be "kitsch factor 10" (Heikeso).
It starts with fruit (salad).
It gets sweet, but stays free of wasps and bees - and it ends so nice and cozy, warm and familiar (despite temperatures where normally nobody sits outside and picnics anymore) with a little bouquet of flowers for 4ajbukoshka, presented by Signor Il Herzensbrecher, the incredibly good looking, smelling and charming Italian.
"Knowing that the beginning of a wonderful story can hide anywhere - and Romamor is the fragrance that accompanies it. It represents a modern chapter. A fragrance to fall in love with."
Well. I wonder if 4ajbukoshka knew that when she closed the door behind her on the night of 9/22/2020?
Probably not. Her senses a bit befuddled, she's blown away.
(Romamor as well by the way, a bit more longevity would have been really great, he doesn't even get to five hours.)

You know it now - and as sorry as I am, you'll get to read another escapade from Signor Il Heartbreaker very soon, even though nothing has been revealed about "his" fragrance yet, may I say one thing in advance: it's about a guitar, a beautifully sad song, an apology and of course a broken heart.

Until then, Signorina 4ajbukoshka lets herself be comforted - by the roommate and Romamor, which she doesn't want to smell on herself, before she has the next date with the Italian and which therefore carries her "Black is such a happy color" roommate with black-green tinted hair through the apartment. Until it is empty, that is: until 23.3.2021.
So we remain excited.
To the new episode and to whether Romamor and love will move in once again.

-----------------
Back in the present, 4ajbukoshka is sitting in her favorite chair with a sprained wrist, going about her favorite thing: telling everyone about how great Italian is and being unaware of any guilt about being incredibly annoying to people.
Muhahahaha

Love - a messy feeling
The other day in a quiz show the candidate was asked in which city "love" is hidden?
It was only then that I realized that Cupid had hidden in Roma.

But bella Roma was always my destination when I was newly in love.

This lively, wonderfully untidy city corresponded with my troubled interior.
Precht described this emotional turmoil well in his book : Liebe - ein unordentliches Gefühl".

And how beautiful are the time-honoured buildings and winding alleys - filled with top fashionable people, who sometimes have a smile for me - and take their time to explain ways to me vividly with hands and feet - because I don't know Italian.
Creatively I switched to Latin - because I had that in school.

Spontaneity is written large here - even when driving a car.
I am reminded of the legendary chariot race in " Ben Hur " - but I ride along cheerfully - always using the horn.

And this colourful hustle and bustle has been well captured in Romamor.
The sweetness here stands for the love that always surrounded me during my visits to Rome - and no, it is not too much for me.
The patch also dims the sweetness and tends to the soft woody.
Bright flowers appear sunny and the vanilla soft and accessible.

I am standing in the middle of St. Peter's Square and different languages are buzzing around me.
All roads lead to Rome.

A very "shy" scent: at least perceivable, very evanescent . Nothing new the column-shaped bottle.
