A very shy love in the Eternal City
Finally I tested it. After many months it appeared on the shelves of my favourite drugstores of my town and I was so curious to smell how it could be the latest creation by the Biagiotti brand after Laura's Death.
Well, I was expecting nothing special and it was exactly so.
A little preface about the weird name: AMOR(poetic italian word for love) is the exactly reverse form of ROMA , so the play on words could remind to the morst romantic face of the Eternal city.
Somebody could imagine a passionate and rich scent , or at least a so flowery and romantic bouquet representing the love in the Italian capital. Not at all. In this dejà vue column-shaped bottle there's a very "shy" scent , although in the pyramid appear warm and deep notes such as the patchouli and the Cashmere wood.
What I smelled at the first spray was a ghost of a light flowery note and nothing more. There's no "main actor" in this composition, there's no base lasting on the skin. Maybe it's me, but I remarked the same spraying the scent on the mouillette too and keeping it for hours in my bag hoping to smell something else .
Anyway, it is the perfect fragrance to wear when you only need to smell good and clean or , for example, in the hottest days. Surely it isn't a fragrance to wear with heavy clothes , wool and fur, because the sillage is quite weak, but it could result pleasant sprayed on light summer dresses.
the price is quite high in comparison with the longevity of the perfume, but if you are a Biagiotti 's fan, just try and decide...I think that this love story in Rome is too short and shy !
