Welcome to Tahiti
Many fragrances at TOM FORD have unfortunately been discontinued...
Costa Azzurra, Fougère Platine, White Patchouli, Oud Fleur, Plum Japonais (what a shame), Vert d'Encens (same), Tobacco Oud, Tuscan Leather Intense... To name just a few of them.
It is therefore of course necessary to find replacements for them.
Tubéreuse Nue is one of them.
It is a very strong fragrance at the opening, a little "cold" in the Soleil Neige genre, very gripping on the nose, but also very floral, almost a whole bouquet of white flowers.
Jasmin is omnipresent for the first 10/15 minutes.
Sichuan pepper almost non-existent in my nose.
Just like Tonka, and later, the Oud.
About 45mins later you have the perfect clone of Soleil Blanc and its scents of Ylang Ylang, monoï and coconut...
A true paradise in a bottle.
Once drying, the fragrance becomes softer, powdery, with this little touch of vanilla.
Always present also this discreet background of Ylang Ylang...
Needless to say, the sillage and longevity are powerful.
Conclusion: A very strong and powerful fragrance, very (too) floral, which may temporarily make you hate white flowers, but not islands and their scents of monoï...
Do NOT buy blind.
My rating: 8/10

Candied tropical tuberose
Tubéreuse Nue is an opulent and dramatic fragrance; it's as sweet as candy and as boisterous as that mother of all tuberose scents, Fracas Eau de Parfum. It's classically proportioned but also chic and modern, and doesn't take itself too seriously. But while it may seem carefree and youthful, Tubéreuse Nue demands a certain level of poise to truly carry it off. Tuberose can be a difficuly note to wear, and here is dialled up to the maximum, with little to offer those who don't love the scent. Nue, indeed.

The first impression is of rich tuberose with a hint of jamsine. The tuberose here is done right; it is creamy, sweet, and camphorous, with plenty of bubblegum. It's tropical, too, but much too strident to be breezy or beachy, thanks in part to the gentle suede accord. I don't detect much pepper or akigalawood, but perhaps their presence is bolstering the tuberose's camphorous aspects, with the latter aiding diffusion. Sillage and longevity are excellent.

It's a strange fragrance in that I don't dislike it, and in fact admire it, but I'm struggling to think of an occasion where I'd actually wear it.

Not another one...
I tried this fragrance over the weekend in an exclusive perfumery in Luxembourg. When I saw the TF commercial for it, I had a feeling that would later be confirmed.
So I went into the perfumery hoping they would have it. I mentioned it and was immediately hyped.
Then the lovely lady applied the fragrance on me... and I felt confirmed: A scent that, in its floral creaminess, resembles Soleil Blanc, Soleil Neige, Eau de Soleil Blanc, eau de bla bla bla.
In the first few sniffs, I only recognized minimal deviations in the fragrance DNA...
Ultimately, it remains just another TF. Justified (even though I like SOLEIL BLANC) the price is still not. On one hand, it is positioned like F
*ing Fabulous, Rose Prick, Lavender Extreme, Bitter Peach,... in the EVEN higher-priced selection, on the other hand, the initially mentioned ones don't even cost as much as the regular TFPBs.

Conclusion: Quite okay, but not justified in price. And please, stop packaging this DNA into fragrances 100 times (in memory of Dior Privée, where there are four pieces with the same DNA: Santal Noir-Oud Ispahan-Purple Oud-Oud Rosewood).

Like a rubber doll that's been lying too close to the fire
To begin with, for the context of this review: Tuberose is one of those accords that I personally can hardly tolerate. Many discover their olfactory nemesis during their journey into the world of beautiful fragrances - for some, it’s aquatics, for others, it’s oud; for me, it’s white florals and red (berry) fruits. In hell, it smells like tuberose and cassis.

Moreover (and I have praised this elsewhere!), the fragrances from the house of Ford - with one or two exceptions - always go 'all in'. Where leather is labeled, there is (a lot of) leather inside, and even fleeting beings like neroli are given (sometimes artificial) presence and longevity. Accordingly, there is a lot of tuberose here, many white flowers.

Tubéreuse Nue is a striking, dense, opulent, and - if you don’t love tuberose very much - suffocatingly appealing scent, which adds a musk accord to the white flowers that is somewhere between highly artificial and animalistic, a numbing sweaty note with hints of warm animal furs and burnt car tires - not uninteresting, but definitely not my thing.

For a long time, a perfume centered around tuberose was missing from Ford's oeuvre - and that one like this would (if not must) exist is hardly surprising. Tubéreuse Nue is promise (the flood of sweet white flowers), sex (the skin or sweat accord), and regret (the scorched rubber note), it is entirely Private Blend and as such academically consistent.

Those who love tuberose and Ford's 'too much of everything' will find here a fleet of sensuality and voluptuousness and passion, and within it a hint - and this is again very Tom Ford - of subtle injury and damage. And a perfume like (or for) an anatomically complete adult doll that has been lying too close to an open fire.

Conclusion: white flowers, numbing sweetness, as far as the nose can reach. Inside, sex and guilt and sin, and for me (and everything else) way too much.

Soft Tuberose Blanket from Childhood
After Tom Ford has already tried out several trends and lines, such as the Oud line at the end of the 2000s, the "strange names" line in the late 2010s, and the fruit line with Lost Cherry and Bitter Peach in the early 2020s, it seems that it was now time to go in a new direction - clean, bright, musky, and floral, and Tubereuse Nue seems to be an absolute hit in this regard.

I have been able to test it several times now and had the feeling right from the first spray that it evokes a certain emotion and memory in me, but as so often, I couldn't quite pinpoint what those emotions and memories were, which is why I had to test it multiple times. After a few attempts, however, it became clear: It reminds me of my childhood, of the old apartment we used to have, of freshly washed laundry on Sunday mornings, which my mother takes out of the washing machine and hangs up while I stand next to her handing her the clothes, of a carefree and beautiful time when the biggest worry was that the sandcastle built the day before at the playground was now destroyed, of joy and of the sun that wakes you through the window on weekends and signals: "It's time to get up and enjoy the day!"

Tubereuse Nue does not have a classic fragrance pyramid; rather, it is a rounded overall package. When sprayed, as the name suggests, it starts relatively quickly with the tuberose, which is accompanied by jasmine and musk. I personally hardly perceive the pepper at all. The scent is initially quiet for a short time, but then suddenly transforms into a gigantic cumulus cloud, which can overwhelm you if you are not expecting it or did not know better beforehand. The scent then fades a bit, and something leather-like comes through, although this leather is extremely delicate and light - hardly comparable to typical leather scents both in the Tom Ford lineup and from other brands. The scent performs quite well, which actually surprised me due to the light, white bottle, as I had expected a very soft and short-lasting fragrance, which is certainly not uncommon for Tom Ford. Instead, I got quite a performance beast, which ultimately caused headaches after about 10 hours of persistent tuberose in the evening.

Ultimately, this fragrance is another one of those "clean" types that strongly remind of the already available Soleils from the Private Blend Collection, which makes it somewhat redundant. Nevertheless, I have developed a certain love for it and even added it to my wish list. The bottle is, as always with Tom Ford, very beautiful, but that is certainly a matter of taste. The price is ultimately what significantly downgrades this fragrance, as it is set at an exorbitantly high level without any reason.
It is hard to say who I would ultimately recommend this fragrance to, as it is actually far too expensive and far too... boring to really recommend it. It seems as if the marketing was aimed at unsuspecting customers entering the store, stumbling over the fragrance, finding it beautiful, swallowing hard, and then paying the absurd price. You can do it that way, but you might have to discontinue it again in 2023.
... oh.

A very floral and natural tuberose. I found it more feminine, a very delicate fragrance, reminiscent of spring, ideal for a walk in the park

Clearly a tuberose scent with a bubblegum note, not the sweet girly Hubba Bubba, definitely more refined, but still tuberose bubblegum.
