Finally grown up.
During my active time at Müller, it only happened occasionally that a young customer specifically asked for advice. Those were golden moments, as most girls who had just come of age either reached for the fragrances used by their friends, followed advertisements, or thought they would be taken seriously if they wore perfumes for "ladies." However, with J`adore or even No.5, they ended up looking rather out of place.

In Between is, for me, a fragrance specifically for this target group. Personally, the perfume comes across as nice, wearable, pleasant, fine, elegant, and for us fragrance enthusiasts, that’s a rather lackluster description. Nothing that sweeps us into applause, but that doesn’t do justice to the scent. I believe that with a perfume like In Between, one has a wonderful entry into the world of fragrances. Seriously yet tenderly, the perfume embodies a positive zest for life, an olfactory sense of inner calm. It’s like a basic wardrobe that always fits, and if you own something like this, you can confidently experiment with scents like Alien or Shalimar, or reserve disco fragrances for suitable occasions without surrounding yourself with their sillage in the office or subway.

In Between is naturally floral, but not kitschy-romantic, certainly not heavy or sweet. The bright flowers are refined with a delicate woodiness and rounded off with a silvery veil of patchouli. Like other Lengling fragrances, Lengling astonishes on my skin with remarkable longevity, and I would wear the perfume without hesitation if I were to receive it as a gift.

It remains doubtful whether the target group I mentioned will ever get to enjoy In Between, given the price and availability.

Sniff or Regret!
Hello everyone. Nice to see you all here again :D
Yes, my title actually says it all. Today I’m introducing a fragrance that I really liked, and I think you should definitely give it a try. It’s No4 - In Between by Lengling.

Fragrance names are always a thing of their own. In Between… that means “in between” or “meanwhile.” So two meanings? It could also be that my English is terrible, but what is it supposed to be in between? Between the fragrance notes that this scent radiates? Between perfumes (hey hey :D)? Or meanwhile what?? Oh, I have no idea!

But that’s not important, because as I know you, a know-it-all will pop up soon… uh, I meant a lovely perfume lover who will clarify what it’s supposed to mean! In the meantime, I can describe the fragrance, which is, by the way, very successful (with minor weaknesses), smells high-quality, and yes, just read for yourself :)

The Fragrance:
At first, I smell a wonderfully fragrant mix of roses and sweet notes, which remind me of a blend of jasmine and amber. Light, fruity scents are added, which must come from the peach, even though I couldn’t recognize the peach right away.
A little later, it still smells sweet-fruity, and of course also floral. Among the floral notes, the roses become a bit stronger, and now lily of the valley is also added. The impression of amber from the sweet notes has disappeared, so it increasingly smells of jasmine later on.
A little later, some musk comes in, and in the background, a hint of vanilla gradually makes itself known. From the base, it continues to smell sweet and floral, but the fruity notes have completely disappeared. Additionally, the fragrance in the base gets a note that I don’t always find so great, namely patchouli, which somehow doesn’t seem to fit this scent very well, but that’s a matter of taste. I would have preferred more herbal, woody, or still sweet scents, because patchouli often has a slightly quirky, earthy scent that I personally find better in foresty fragrances. Well, it’s not like the patchouli ruins the fragrance; it doesn’t at all, but it is my only real point of criticism here. But maybe you are more open to this note. So, all in all, No 4 has turned out quite well.

The Sillage and Longevity:
The sillage is a bit weak. Despite a nice start, the projection fades too quickly, so I think the fragrance is best perceived only up close. However, the longevity is much better, as the fragrance easily lasts about ten hours on the skin.

The Bottle:
The rectangular bottle has strongly rounded corners and edges and a very thick base. On the front, there is a label that wraps around the corner to the side wall and looks as if it is made of fabric. The round cap is chrome-plated, and the brand name is engraved on it. A simple-looking but still beautiful bottle.

Yes, as I already said in the introduction, I found this fragrance very beautiful. I think fruity-sweet fragrances generally smell so nice and especially come across as beautifully feminine, and they don’t necessarily have to seem teenage-like if they are well made. Besides, the fragrance also appears a bit more mature at the end due to the patchouli.

This fragrance from Lengling strikes me as very lovely, sweet, and sexy at the same time and is suitable both as a daytime scent and for going out or in the evening, as it really smells pleasant (for the guys :D)! Because with such a fragrance, everything seems even more ladylike or feminine, elegant, sexy, beautiful,… I really should stop listing such things, otherwise I’ll start alternating between raving and sighing again :D

It would actually be quite usable right now during this time, so spring and summer, when all the ladies are out fresh and relaxed in beautiful dresses or (shooooort :D) skirts. However, since the patchouli makes the fragrance seem a bit heavier later on, I prefer to describe the fragrance as an all-rounder, which, however, should not be used on too hot summer days, as it could then feel overwhelming.

In any case, No4 is a fragrance that you should check out, or rather sniff :))
Well then, that’s it for now, I wish you a nice evening and see you later! :)

Best Lengling for me
The carefree scent of delicate youth combines with maturity and the floral richness of Arabian jasmine - ambivalent and extremely feminine.
smells best for me so far, similar to Chanel Chance but spicier and more grown-up, definitely not for little girls. I will probably buy the hair fragrance variant, as it is more caring. And cheaper. But primarily because in summer I spray my fragrance in my hair and less on my skin. Jasmine provides warmth and femininity without smelling stuffy or too sweet. It is classified as floral and oriental; I smell peach, jasmine, Weilchen, rosewood, and vanilla, fortunately little musk and violet.
Lengling always divides the notes into LENG and LING.
Here is LENG: youth with patchouli, musk, rosewood, mandarin, and LING - aka maturity with jasmine sambac absolute, Weilchen, lily of the valley, and peach. I would have classified exactly the second one under youth, but okay. The longevity is great, it has just the right amount of floral without becoming too much for me. Little goes a long way.

"In Between" - a cold charmer
How something cool can be so charming is answered by the perfumer with "In Between". Often, peach as a fragrance note can be squeaky, but here it comes across as very cool-fruity and yet not unripe or diluted. Sometimes white wine is characterized by a yellow-orange-fruity bouquet. This reminds me of that.
This makes the top note unique for me. A charmer could also be accused of being superficial, but I don't feel that way here, as delicate lily of the valley reveals itself with radiance and jasmine as a warming nuance. Combined with rosewood and patchouli, the bright notes gain depth. Everything feels very polished, crystal clear.
Sometimes I also think I smell roses, delicately mixed in, with a slightly tingling acidity. Violet powder lays like a veil over the tamed floral splendor. I don't find the scent naive; it feels serious, nothing suitable for celebration, yet in a way, it is an example that still waters can run deep.

Lengling...
I really wanted to like it... I wanted to enjoy it so much, but unfortunately it just doesn’t work for me. The fragrance notes sound truly amazing, but they don’t harmonize for me the way they should. The lily of the valley, violet, and patchouli dominate, and it just smells floral; I feel it lacks a bit more sweetness for the perfect balance. The story that the perfume tells is beautiful. Unfortunately, I have to let it go... The performance is great, you really can't complain about that.

Peach, which combines fruity sweetness with almost aquatic freshness and hence appears undercooled. Contrasts that are combined quite well.

At Lengling, this is No. 4, but for me, it's number 1! For some, it's a bore, but for me, it's a beautiful skin caresser!

Peach rolls into a musk bed: it's soft, fluffy, fruity, green-floral all around - an unpretentious women's fragrance with a hint of synthetics.

The elves float on clouds of musk to the fruit bowl with velvety peaches. Plus a hint of jasmine. Well-behaved, delicate, bright, soft - quite nice.

A mix of LVEB and Si! What a disappointment - totally boring mainstream scent. But the price is anything but mainstream!

Sweet peach competes with jasmine in fragrance, while musk gently envelops. Suitable for any time and place. Longevity could be better.

Floral, clean, lightly fruity: A lovely, familiar scent. There’s a slightly less nice but cheaper version, like YSL Libre.

Ling, can you toss me some peach aroma? Leng, did you know that jasmine can smell mature? Oh, we have such cool ideas. Yawn.
