Vanilla and cedar - a sweet-tart melange
"Vanilla Paradox" appealed to me because of the great color of the bottle and the name of course also makes very curious. A paradoxical vanilla - I expect an exciting and complex fragrance.
After the first spray, I smell a tangy grapefruit, but it quickly disappears. Then comes a great gin note, which would have liked to linger longer. However, after a few minutes, I only notice the woody cedar with a slight vanilla note. This combination is actually interesting. Cedar always seems a bit musty and dusty to me, but here it gets a certain looseness.
The scent reminds me of a spring walk in the woods, when the wind blows the sweet hint of a spring flower past every now and then, resulting in a sweet-tart melange.
Overall, "Vanilla Paradox" is an exciting scent, but one that I don't yet know if I would actually wear in everyday life.
