A Jar of Honey
When it comes to gourmands, I am much more enthusiastic about wearing something that smells like honey rather than cotton candy. I've been searching for a realistic honey scent for quite some time. I did enjoy Serge Lutens Miel de Bois, but it wasn't what I wanted. Since finding Honey I Washed The Kids, I believe I may have found the closest to what I was looking for.

Honey I Washed The Kids is a fairly linear scent, with syrupy honey, sugary vanilla and gooey caramel. It smells delicious and foody, just like a gourmand should be.

The opening is where the honey note is at its strongest. I was amazed by how realistic it smelt on my skin. It was just like sticking your nose in a jar of honey and inhaling. Although the honey note is dominant throughout this composition, it does tend to lessen in intensity. The heart and drydown introduces the vanilla and caramel which helps in balancing out the fragrance.

As far as I'm aware, Honey I Washed The Kids was a limited edition that has long since been discontinued. The last time I inquired about this fragrance in a Lush store, I was re-directed to a shower gel named It's Raining Men and told that it's the same scent, just re-named.

I was lucky enough to be sent a sample from a kind Lush fragrance collector. Since falling for it, I guess I'll now have to join the ranks of fans waiting for a bottle to appear on Ebay.

Not bad
It smells pretty good, it does have a sour opening. It dries down to a really nice honey, waxy, almondy kind of scent. Smells a lot like scrubee with a touch of citrus. Only thing is that it doesn't project as much, on me atleast, and it doesn't have that good of longevity (make sense since it is a body spray).

Snack Day instead of Wash Day
~ Inspiration ~
In my search for honey scents, I received a sample from the lovely Serafina. I was already familiar with the brand - I once had a shampoo and a soap.

~ Bottle ~
The glass bottle is simple and plain, just as one knows from Lush. The label is attached to a narrow ribbon. The name "Honey I Washed the Kids" is funny and original, but it doesn’t really match the citrus-gourmand scent.

~ Fragrance ~
It unfortunately starts off a bit piercing-musty (maybe even earthy?) with bergamot and oranges. After a few minutes, sweet honey and creamy caramel come in, and it becomes much "rounder" and more pleasant.

~ Longevity ~
On my skin, it lasts about 4-5 hours (a bit longer on clothes and hair). A sparing application is recommended; otherwise, it’s too overpowering at first and later too sugary for me.

~ Occasion ~
It fits well for the mild days and evenings in spring and autumn (however, I wouldn’t wear it to the office).

~ Conclusion ~
I don’t like the opening, but fortunately, it fades away quite quickly. What remains is a very sweet orange-honey-caramel scent.

Milk and Honey
This is how Lush describes the scent.

To me, it smells extremely sweet and musky. Those who like the scent will find the soap to be a great choice.

The fragrance was a forum special from Lush and is hardly available anymore. Among hardcore Lush fans, it is highly sought after.

When using it, one should do so very sparingly.

If you want to smell like caramel-orange-honey, you’ve come to the right place!

If Angel is sugar, then this here is sweetener...

No milk, no musk, no flowers...just SWEETENER SWEETENER and again SWEETENER!

A sweet, creamy, slightly tart citrussy floral.
So, where's the honey? Honey, I washed off the honey.

Glad I did not blind bought. The citrus are the strongest notes here, than get a very light vanilla and sweet/sugary notes.

Peach Yoplait. It is so heavenly and lasts all-day, definitely a new favorite.

smells like straight honey to me, but like from reviews off-site, there's something gross about it, almost somehow as if it is expired...

The soap was definitely better. Very sweet, very caramel-like, too much. Werther's Original with orange blossom honey.

I love the shower gel! But the perfume is sharper at first (bergamot?), then later turns into the fruity honey caramel. Great for casual wear!

I think it's really bad, sorry.
Cleaning product note
I don't want to smell like that.

The scent pyramid sounds great, but for honey lovers, there's not enough honey - more like honey candy with other fruity stuff; it gets gross on the skin.
