Double R Diner gourmand

I usually do not gravitate towards cherry scents at all, they often come off synthetic and sugar free, but this is a cavity inducing, indulgent, slightly sensual cherry fragrance.

It opens with a very plump and juicy black cherry, supported by swirls of indulgent hot cocoa. It smells like a slice of cherry pie and a damn fine cup of cocoa.

This is a beastttt fragrance, just two spritzes fills my bedroom with the thick scent of Black Forest. I like it, but it’s a lil weird! Definitely will be reaching for this during my rewatches of Twin Peaks.

Syrupy chocolate cherry

Not going to lie, I first was really disappointed with the scent, now I have mixed feelings (still wondering if I need this) .

This is 100% what I wanted Mayar Cherry Intense Eau de Parfum to smell like. You can clearly smell the cocoa - gourmand chocolate - cherry note. But not only, the almond is adding to the gourmand side as well, acting like a yummy marzipan in the perfume too (I have no idea if it makes sense lmao).

What is disappointing me? the syrupy cherry. Even tho, I never really minded the cherry being syrupy, I now, really care.

I'm quite (and literally) is tired of always smelling the same cherry note (sickly sweet syrup and medicinal). But honestly, If I wanted a fresher cherry, I'm really not picking the right perfume lol. So, I can ignore that I guess. The overall is still very good and exactly as marketed - a chocolate cherry.

Husband hated it

I thought this would be perfect for a winter night. My husband walked into the room and said “why does the room smell like the urinal cake at the stadium?” I showed him the bottle and he said, “that may be but it is literally “men’s room at the stadium”. So that soured me. Now all I get is urinals and robitussin notes after that. Sorry Lush. This was was a swing and a miss. I’ll go back to Death and Decay, a clear winner.

Five minutes lasting initial bouquet

It smells like Maraschino, marzipan and an italian praline called "Cuba". Heavenly, but this initial bouquet lasts only five minutes. After that the "cough medicine" mix someone else mentioned takes predominantly the stage. To me, that five minutes lasting initial adventure is worthy of buying, even if it will end up in warm chocolate only.

Almost delicious

The initial smell I get from this fragrance is amazing, a photo realistic boozy maraschino cherry soaked in amaretto with a hint of chocolate. This sadly only lasts a few minutes before I get this medicinal cherry smell, it’s like an old dusty cherry flavoured cough sweet, I loose all of the initial almond and I feel the subtle artificial chocolate note just adds to the chemically smell. It’s really disappointing because I had high hopes for this fragrance based on the notes and the initial scent profile
