Faded Eroticism in Shimmering Light
One might imagine it like this:
A fragrance that wants to appear noble and strong - The woman tightly in her black dress, showcasing even more curves. A room filled with sultry air, subtle smoke, and glances crossing in all directions. A dull light that reveals no faces. Music that softly weaves through the rows and melts away so melancholically that one falls into slightly depressed phases and simply lets oneself drift. The thought of oneself is beautiful, and one suspects that this fragrance aims for that. So it begins. Promising. Feminine. Sensual. Seductive. A lovely note of black orchid, accompanied by a faint tone of smoke and plum. In the background, a light tonka bean that sweetly clings to the vanilla. Everything feels finely creamy. A beautiful perception that I could draw from the fragrance. A brief but intense enjoyment. Yet all this melts away far too quickly into an unrecognizable work, which is extremely unfortunate.
The fragrance does reach those desires of thought - but it is simply far too weak to maintain the beginning until the end. The eroticism appears rather cheap and contrived over time. The subtle smoke is soon swallowed. A slight flicker can be heard - a light, soapy note that squeezes through the fragrance and nullifies everything. Alongside a dull woody aftertaste that also does not fit the presentation. Wildly mixed, one might think? Yes, that is exactly it. And that after not even 15-20 minutes. One can be disappointed so quickly. A fragrance can change direction so rapidly and present itself entirely differently from how it was imagined.
The cinema that the fragrance caused at first touch was quickly over. The faded eroticism in shimmering light was beautiful to behold. There was nothing lewd or dirty about it. It was simply pleasant to feel, to touch. Mentally. Sensually. Intimately. Yet the deep fall came soon. The fragrance no longer held any of that nocturnal glamour it wants to suggest to us.
The impression is not only held by me but also by others - that the fragrance was not well thought out. It lacks a support that is needed to hold this beauty. It lacks certain incentives, drive, and substance. Thus, after just a few minutes, it feels like it has crashed into a wall. All or nothing. I think the perfume was certainly created without any thought process, just to throw something out there for the night. Nothing more. Otherwise, I cannot explain it. Such a shame, because the beginning was not bad at all.
As for longevity and sillage, I see this in the middle. For a fragrance that doesn't require a deep pocket, it has a satisfactory longevity. The bottle, on the other hand, appears extremely banal. More effort should have been put into that. Especially when giving the fragrance such a name.
