Hmm… delicious peach rings?!
Today I’m testing a brand that I haven’t tried in a while: M. Asam, a German cosmetics and fragrance brand that caught my attention back then for one reason. Of course… how could it be any different, I noticed the scent because of its excellent Green Tea fragrance (M. Asam No. 1), which, together with its citrus notes like grapefruit, simply smelled delicious… um, I meant of course it had a wonderful scent :)
Now comes Apricot Vanilla, whose only fragrance notes apparently, according to the fragrance list, are also just apricot and vanilla, which sounds quite simple. But hey, isn’t it sometimes the case that seemingly simple scents just smell great?
Well, I’ll find out right away! And… as usual… I’ll report back to you! :)
The base becomes increasingly vanilla-like, meaning it even smells a bit like pastry with vanilla. At this point, the scent no longer has the previously mentioned girly aura, as it now comes across as less candy-like. The fruity notes gradually fade away until the scent in the later base only smells of pure vanilla (and quite authentically at that). Still nice, but also a tiny bit one-dimensional.
Most vanilla scents seem to last forever, and this one here is no exception. It easily lasts over twelve hours, if not more!
Apricot Vanilla is a lovely scent that actually only smells of vanilla and apricots. It’s not so easy for me to categorize it by season, despite the seemingly simple fragrance, because I find the apricots quite light and airy, thus fresh and summery. On the other hand, the vanilla is intense, sweet, and powdery, which fits more into autumn and winter. Therefore, I’ll just say that the scent acts like an all-rounder. On warm days, you can use it just as well in smaller doses as on colder days. And it could also be suitable for going out, as it smells sweet and delicious, and you want to smell like that when you go out, right? :D Well, at least I wouldn’t mind if a woman smelled that sweet :D
Irresistible, delicious, and… oh, you know by now what I usually say about that :D
Anyway, the scent is really nice and worth a look. At first, it might seem a bit girly, but later on, it becomes more of an all-rounder, suitable for all age groups, as long as you like sweet scents :)
But keep in mind that from the base onwards, the scent basically only smells of vanilla, so it might come across as a little bit boring.
And strangely enough, I suddenly have a craving for those peach rings. However, I know exactly that I won’t be getting those things, as I ultimately don’t really care for them that much and would rather reach for sour pickles or something :D

The scent:
So, the scent starts off fruity sweet as expected. You immediately smell the vanilla, which radiates sweet and powdery (and also intensely). Then there’s the apricot, which here, with its peach-like scent combined with the sweet vanilla, somehow reminds me of the really delicious peach rings from Haribo, Trolli, and similar brands. The scent is therefore quite wonderful and tasty, but the fact that it smells so sweet and this sweetness also reminds one of candies gives the scent a bit of a girly vibe. However, a little later, the sweetness of the scent reminds me a bit of powdered sugar, which could be due to the powdery vanilla itself. The base becomes increasingly vanilla-like, meaning it even smells a bit like pastry with vanilla. The sillage and longevity:
The sillage is quite good, as especially the vanilla radiates well, so the scent will be noticeable for a while. Most vanilla scents seem to last forever, and this one here is no exception. It easily lasts over twelve hours, if not more!
The bottle:
The bottle is cylindrical and ends at the top in a dome, where the spray head is attached. This is capped with a bronze-pink cylindrical lid. At the bottom of the bottle, the brand name is etched into the glass. On the front, there’s a nice, colorful label featuring apricots and vanilla. Overall, the bottle is quite simple, but quite nice.
