The new Tabac Wild Ride by Mäurer & Wirtz impresses with its quick transformability.
Within minutes, it changes its DNA and then truly remains fruity/spicy fresh.

In the opening, it is pleasantly spicy, fresh/fruity. Unusual and exciting. The apple comes through well. The interplay with the rose fits.
Later on, it becomes more masculine and very suitable for everyday wear. It develops a greener character through the moss, amber, and resin.
Towards the end, it becomes mysterious again. The incense, patchouli, and vetiver make it mystical and keep it grounded.

It really has a slight Aventus vibe due to the apple. A great office scent that can impress. It lasts quite well, and the sillage is also noteworthy.
Somewhat more masculine than the Creed.
Great price-performance ratio.

(edit 2023-03-18:) with the top note, I usually remember fresh bananas (intense pre-stage of the official apple note), then I smell grapefruit peel in phases, which slowly transforms into juniper and walnut leaf, and in the drydown, a more and more nose-biting chemical industry-sporty base emerges, which I would call artificial sweat, that I often smell in well-known perfumes and deodorants, while I find the overall scent quite interesting and enjoy using Wild Ride from time to time. Now, having read so much here that reminds me of Aventus, I can admit that this strict and artificial tone indeed resembles components of Aventus. But not SOO accurately that I would have made this association without hesitation. In any case, I would like to warn those who rely on our texts and have a nose like mine to avoid going astray and experiencing unnecessary disappointment. Aventus, expressed in color, I find sometimes light blue and white, but Wild Ride predominantly yellow, gray, and black (cool, harsh, dark) and I believe that many elements of Aventus are not present in Wild Ride. Wild Ride is not as seductive, chic, provocative, and floral, but rather rough, "prude"/sober, herb-spicy, juniper-like, strict, and almost old-school masculine. (the rock 'n' roll-style black-red container completely deviates from the scent style in my opinion) Please understand my objection, I believe I am by no means the only one who would not identify it as an Aventus twin. Although I may only have newer Aventus formulations as a reference. Should the original Aventus have smelled like Wild Ride, my review would of course be much more limited.

The Wild Ride to the Office or the Construction Site or Anywhere Else....

I am, after all, a confessed Tabac

After the original and a Tabac Man fan. Some time ago, my wife asked me if I needed anything for the online order. We were still 10 euros short for free shipping.
So the Wild Ride ended up with me.

The black and red cardboard box is unremarkable. The bottle resembles an aluminum deodorant spray. There is no cap. A securing ring allows the can to be transported. The sprayer is fine.

Upon spraying, it starts off citrusy. Then the apple comes in. Fresh, slightly spicy, and synthetic.
In the dry down, the synthetic note remains. The apple too. There seems to be a subtle light smoky note shining through.
It then becomes a bit mossy. The synthetic aspect stays throughout the entire experience. But that doesn’t bother me. Quite pleasant. It somewhat reminds me of a world-famous Creed. But it’s not a clone; the Wild Ride is too casual for that.

The performance lasts about six hours. The sillage is rather modest.
This makes it great for daily wear and especially for work.
It doesn’t disturb.

The scent is really nice. The performance is acceptable. It doesn’t bother, but it is noticeable.

Another value-for-money tip out there. For the few bucks, it’s completely fine.

Fresh yet Tabac

I am an old (to be understood in both senses) lover of Tabac Original and almost all newer offshoots of this classic. My Tabac collection has become quite extensive, as I buy a sample with every new release from the house.

This relative newcomer resonates with me very much. With the fruity and fresh opening described by previous reviewers, it immediately makes a statement and asks for attention. As the fragrance develops, it gets even better. It becomes more voluminous, serious, and stronger. What remains is a spicy scent that accompanies you noticeably, but not intrusively, through the next hours. It is absolutely suitable for everyday wear and does not scare anyone in the immediate vicinity.

In my eyes, Tabac has succeeded here, which is certainly not easy. It offers younger people access to the world of Tabac products. It is fresh enough to be modern, but still "Tabac" enough not to deny its origins.

My conclusion, although the good old classic Tabac Original would certainly suffice for my needs, I enjoy this wild ride and gladly reach for it again and again. Variety has famously never harmed anyone.

Just a quick trip...

... to do some shopping and I quickly sprayed on this fragrance. As I entered the store with the big A and grabbed a cart, a woman stood next to me, smiled at me, and said this is the scent that my son always likes to wear. I looked at her and asked her what it was. She replied, of course, Aventus, I always give it to him for his birthday. I smiled at her and let her believe it.

Upon applying this fragrance, the first thing that hits your nose is a citrusy fresh apple scent. It is mixed with a pineapple accord (which is not listed in the fragrance pyramid, I assume it comes from the geranium). Gradually, something mossy and resinous sneaks in, and these two get a push from the incense to make some room for a smoky note. Vetiver makes it dry and patchouli adds a bit of darkness. This is a masculine scent.

The longevity and sillage are not bad for this price.

Here we have another copy of Aventus, which I think is not bad for the price and can be worn by any age group. It is a fragrance that is best worn on warm and hot days. Here we have a school, university, office, leisure, or sports scent. For the evening, I would definitely say no. The ladies can feel free to try it here.

If you like to wear a fresh apple pineapple with smoky vibes and want it for a small price, you are exactly in the right place.
