Cedar !

Smells a lot like a cedar chest or closet, really accurate sharpness but it does have a bit of smoothness to it. But if you don't like cedar you probably won't like this.

Very unisex...wish it projected just a little longer! The oil is much stronger on my skin than the EdP and I love wearing it at home on lazy nights.

Old wooden box that used to hold spices

Like a small wooden box in which my grandmother kept spices in her kitchen. It hadn't been a container for spices originally; the label, erased and torn in places had a picture of a spinning top, "Made in China." After she passed away, the box remained in the same drawer. Every time I came home, on vacation, I rummaged through the drawers, looking for the old smells of my childhood. Although empty, the tiny wooden box still retained its nutmeg scent from the old days. That's how Bois de Balincourt is. Unfortunately, it does not project very well.

Ca o cutiuță mică din lemn în care bunica mea tinea mirodeniile în bucătărie. Nu fusese un recipient pentru condimente inițial; eticheta ștearsă si rupta în locuri avea o poza cu un titirez, "Made in China." După ce dânsa s-a stins din viață, cutiuța a rămas în același sertar. De cate ori veneam acasă, în vacante, scormoneam prin sertare, în căutarea mirosurilor vechi, din copilărie. Desi goala, cutiuța inca își păstrase parfumul de nucșoară de pe vremuri. Cam asa este Bois de Balincourt. Din păcate, nu radiază departe de brațe.

Santal 33's Chill Cousin

A great option for those who want something with the bones of santal 33 but don't want to spend $200.
That same beautiful sandalwood + spices base with a much creamier execution. It lacks all the zest of santal and some of the staying power. Layering the oil and perfume really is the way to go.
Truly unisex. Could wear this summer to winter. A lovely cozy everyday perfume.
