A Little Fruit Basket
You can think what you want about Marbert's products, but you certainly can't deny their good quality. This case is no exception.
For me, it was a spontaneous online purchase, without further research or even test strips. The price is affordable, so I just wanted to grab it. What do you get for your money?
Well, first of all, a good, handy bottle - without frills and travel-friendly. The sprayer is also appealing; it doesn't drip or spill.
I sprayed it on and was immediately very taken with it. Marbert Sun Spirit is a fresh, fruity-sweet summer fragrance. Without knowing the scent pyramid further, I thought: "Oh, a peach scent, I've never had that before." No shower gel vibes, no hint of a sunscreen (which I was a bit concerned about). I don't understand why Marbert has given it the subtitle "Sun Proof." Sun Spirit stands for a cheerful summer day, a warm spring morning, a fragrant and sun-drenched meadow at the edge of a forest. You want to walk barefoot through a flower garden.
But I rarely do that. I rather use it as a follow-up to a refreshing morning shower or as a finishing touch after a pleasant wet shave with gourmand-light shaving soaps and a fresh aftershave. Then it's out to the balcony, a hot coffee, and a good book. A lovely start to the day.
Only later did I read that apparently no peach was present in the production of the EdT. The scent pyramid lists raspberry (yes, okay), strawberry, and blackcurrant. To be honest, I wouldn't have guessed that; my nose stubbornly insists on peach. No matter, as long as it smells good. The sandalwood and vanilla round out the scent, making it warmer and more comforting.
The only disappointing aspect of Sun Spirit is the sillage and longevity. After a coffee break, the splendor is already gone, and you would need to reapply. The longevity on clothing isn't significantly better either. That's a shame; it does dampen the enjoyment a bit.
Conclusion: You get a great freshie that is a lot of fun but doesn't last long. A delightful alternative to the eternal aquatics. It comes across more like an Eau de Cologne, and that's how I use it. In my eyes, it is absolutely unisex, so it will accompany me for a long time.
